I think what he is trying to say is, line yourself up to the shoot and see the ball going into the pocket. After you see this, than get down, stare at the point of contact and execute the shot. My saying before I get down to execute the shot is "DON'T SHOOT IT TILL YOU SEE IT".

I would add, it doesn't matter how I play as long as I am competitive. If you play a player better than yourself, let say in a weekly tournament, if you are competitive and almost beat him, than he will have respect for you the next time, which in turn might cause him to have more errors.

Great read. I am having problems mentally putting opponents away, or just giving to many games away in the tournaments because of this self-doubt thing. I will keep this is mind for future use.

Anyway what you can do is scatter all 15 balls on the table and make them in any order except for the 15 ball, make that one last. When you get better with this drill, start playing rotation pool. For example, Make 15 last, than 15 and 14, than 15,14,13 ex....:D Hope this helps

Best tip I can give anyone is, ONE WORD, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. As many hours a day as you can. If you have an hour lunch and are close to a table, practice. On your way home practice. All day Saturday and Sunday, if you have weekends off, Practice. The longer the session the better...
