    Did this shot skid?

"You cannot underestimate the skullduggery some guys will stoop to." The first day of the winter nine-ball league (Tuesday's at 11:00am) at the senior center (no table time) I got to play Henry. When it was my turn to shoot Henry started practicing on the next table. Well, I didn't like him...

    Did this shot skid?

I'm starting to see the live stream players clean the cue ball, either on their pants or on the cloth before each break.

    Outsville Tip Drawing

I just got my Outsville M R&D tip installed by a well known cue maker. He said it machines just like a LePro tip. I showed him all the fancy words that he has never saw before. He said to make sure I'm not just buying dazzle. The tip was only 12.75mm in diameter. I'll defer on playability...

    Anything wrong with open bridge??

I've got some terible dings from hitting the low florescent lamp when I use an open-hand bridge. I told Wally (who runs the eight table room at the senior center) that I would pay to put felt covered ruberized strips on the ends of the lamps. He blasted back at me, saying that I should learn...

    Balabushka

No idea how people would think they were getting an original for that kind of money though, no offense. None taken. The locals warned me not to do business with this con artist. The $600 was a fair retail value for the cue.

Joss still has that cue model for sale. They are a very popular Joss cue. Adam Cue Company indirectly burned me by "misrepresenting" it's knock-off. (I thought I was stealing when I bought it from an old man).

I paid $600 for a knock-off, thinking it was the real deal. Plays good.

TSA to Allow Pool Cues as carry on -

I'm confused; Bats weighing less than 24 ounces and no longer than 24 inches will also be allowed onboard, as will lacrosse sticks, hockey sticks, pool cues, ski poles and up to two golf clubs. What's this 24 inch rule? Do all these items have to be 24 inches to fit in the overhead compartment?

    Shafts - is laminated better?

A laminated shaft won't warp. You can leave it in your car. I tried one but couldn't figure it out.

I love pool, I really love pool because?

I love making the cue ball go backwards. I find this to be the most profound pleasureable experience in life.

    Storing your cues

According to Gina cue maker, the shaft is not a straight line. It's tappered so that when you lay it flat on a pool table, only the ends of the shaft touch the table, not the center. This allows for gravity to warp a horizontally stored shaft over time. I just bought a Longoni case from a...

    Storing your cues

Gena cue maker says screwed together and placed vertically on an "interior" wall, and should be played at least once a week. I found an air tight, gravity proof case. Pool

Synthetic material for cue tips!! That could be revolutionary... if it improves what leather tips do. There is a great story about the invention of the leather tip in the Billiard Enciclopedia.

    Outsville Tip Drawing

The only reason that layered tips exist is because you cannot produce a single layered pig skin tip..... The new processing of the single layered Outsville tips raises their COR values into the range found with the most popular and best performing layered pigskin. Are you contradicting yourself?

99-ball run - *world record filmed* on a 10ft table - by max eberle

I remember those clay balls where you had to keep bumping the rack to get the balls to open up. I wonder what kind of run Crane would have if he were playing on today's equipment. 987?

Why buy a cue that is over $300?

I had some customization work done to my Joss production cue. Dan Janes changed the diameter to 12.75mm and the pro-taper to 13 inches. He did this for free. I also bought a weight kit so I could experiment with different weighted cues. Then we spent an hour talking about the old days at the...
