A little thought in describing accurately? Exactly ^^^^^ I'm amazed at the brief, sloppy, vague descriptions often made on ebay cues. My pet peeve is how some sellers can be absolutely snotty and act insulted if you ask, "Is the shaft/butt straight?" "What condition is the finish?" Sellers...

Andy Gilbert ---- $390 and perfect? Heckuva deal here. Have an almost identical Gilbert J/B in cocobolo. With the right tip they play very strong and solid. Luckily I found a second Gilbert shaft with matching ringwork for playing that matches the original G10 break/jump shaft...

That may be the first negative comment I've ever heard re: Proficient Billiards. Would be curious to hear the story.

Schon refinish My experience with 4 cues: Your Schon logo is safe with a perfect refinish by Scott at Proficient Billiards. He does great work whether it's a simple refinish or a rebuild due to a truck backing over a splintered Szamboti. Their fees have gone up, check their price list closely.

Joint Protectors If your thinking of a higher end set of caps, I'd highly recommend "CueCaps" / Alton Takata. His work is top notch and often spectacular. Alton is a true gentleman too. Have misplaced his website but I think you could google it or PM CueCaps here. Jim Baxter does very nice...

My TS Sneaky is getting a bit grungy. What's the best material to strip and clean the existing tung oil finish on the butt? I actually like the feel and low profile matt finish on a true sneaky. Any similar alternative finishes that would offer better protection and a little more gloss? Thx...
