2023 World Pool Championship, Kielce, Poland

agree completely I don't know if there's technical criteria re: force of break or not, but if there is, I would think the ref, commentators, and players would be aware of it yet the way the ref explained it to alex was a non-explanation. the commentators had no clue. I really hope MR gets this...

how long should a cue be to reach most shots on 9 ft.?

thanks for the replies- exactly the kind of info. I was seeking. sort of a silly addendum, but I'm now wondering how long a cue should be to reach all shots with a bridge (9 ft.)?

how long should a cue be to reach most shots on 9 ft.?

don't have easy access to a 9 ft. table, but am thinking about the future I'm short (5'6"), can go behind the back and am ok using the bridge but I'd like to be able to stretch out without the extras..how long's good? (edit: I mean total cue length, including extension..)

    Live (Barely) from the Derby

was having a convo about this the other day it's good to look at others with admiration, to appreciate and be inspired, and root for that which resonates with us I think where we get twisted up is when we invest *so* much of our time and energy into the folks/ideas we root for so much to the...

    Live (Barely) from the Derby

put some clutch on in the back and I'll watch you bang around ^_^ according to what I read, his channel is eligible for monetization and he'll likely bring in some change that way, but.. ding ding ding..well said. if you want to be a pro, act like one. props to fedor et al. for being the...

    bridge length/level cue/stroke

hi brian, that is what I was talking about. I said "as level as possible" to suggest that level itself, is most cases, is unreasonable.

    bridge length/level cue/stroke

ok. is keeping the cue as level as reasonably possible worth striving for ?

    bridge length/level cue/stroke

hi fran, how about as level as *reasonably* possible ? I guess more important than the level, is contacting and moving through the cb smoothly, and as intended- ? I'm not trying to un-reasonably contort my body to accommodate a level cue, that's why I initially said "as possible" but it...

    bridge length/level cue/stroke

hey pat, interesting suggestion I'm pretty sure I would be considered a fixed-elbow stroker, but where does the authority draw the line? I think my elbow does drop a bit when/after shooting certain shots..I'll check out some vid when I get a chance. otherwise, I'm thinking about why the cue...

    bridge length/level cue/stroke

so having watched vids of my play, I realized that my cue is sometimes not staying (as) level (as possible) interestingly, it looks like the culprit (at least in some cases) has something to do with my bridge length I never really thought of it before, but it seems it's often easier to maintain...

which conical wood shaft? Z3 or WX900?

I don't think the z3 is truly conical- I seem to recall it's a hybrid taper ? I'm curious to see if any custom cuemakers get recommended here hope you find a good one tho..I admire the conical cue shape as well
