A couple of weeks ago I broke and made 7 balls (included the damn cue ball) on a Gold Crown that typically gives up nothing on the break. It was pretty freaky seeing only 3 balls on the table. Usually out of 4 or 5 breaks I might make a ball.

Question to the folks that know the value of cues: How much more is the "Gus" worth compared to the price paid? If it's worth more than the value of the shafts in question, shouldn't the buyer be happy?

Played a little 9-ball tonight with a friend. Got lucky and broke and ran a rack then....... I broke and made 7 balls. Of course that had to include the cue ball. But still the table sure looke barren. The most I remember is making 5!

I had the same problem for a while. It turned out to be a configuration in my Motorola modem. I changed it to less security and no more problem.

One of the first things I did when I moved into the house I'm in was to have a pole removed and 2 steel beams installed. If I didn't have that done the pole would be about in the middle of the table which would have required drilling a very large hole in the slate.
