Turning Stone Classic xx ** Free Live Stream **

When I go to the U Stream site and click on what was recorded yesterday, I get volume of what is being said and no picture. Anyone else having the problem?

When you focus, do you shoot and play better pool?

Thanks for starting this thread. It really makes you think about the word focus. In my case I think I focus too much and on the wrong things. I want for the day when everything comes together and I just shoot naturally. I tend to focus on whether my stance is correct, my aim is straight, my...

Anybody have problems shooting with glasses?

Thanks for the info. I wear progressive now, if I were to get pool glasses, I probably would opt for single vision. I agree with not wanting to screw your eyes up. I have heard of some horror stories involving laser surgery. There's always a risk. When it comes to your eyes, I would want...

    New Years Billiard Resolutions?

I hear ya! 1942 here. Going to make the most of it while I can. I sure hope they make a fire retardant Simonis. I'll need it where I'm going - so my ex says.

Anybody have problems shooting with glasses?

I have a question about having the glasses on when you are away from the table. If the prescription is from 2 to 10 feet, do you keep them on all of the time? If so, when you are sitting down, can you see normally or are they distorted after the 10 feet. If there is a pretty girl 20 feet from...

    one rail kicks

Hi EKKES, Some really good information in that video. A lot is lost however due to the background noise. Any chance that you could redo that in a quiet setting so we could understand what you are saying while you are demonstrating? We appreciate the help you are giving us.

New level of sharking witnessed last night.

I hope you worked on your fundamentals after that. Just imagine, if you could have pulled that shot off under those conditions, who knows how far you could have gone. A true professional wouldn't let something like that bother him. All kidding aside, I wish the hell some well endowed female...

    Maid Mistake- MAD!

You said the table needed recovering anyway. Get it recovered, buy a cover to put over it, and instruct them not to go near the table. Case closed.

    Would you help your opponent??

I've always been one to be prepared in anything I do. That said, if I was playing in a pool hall that didn't have a good bridge, I would buy a slip on head and keep it in my bag. If my opponent asked me if he could use a piece of equipment that I had, I'd have to say I would. If the team that...

Do you miss because you jump up, or do you jump up because you miss?

I consider myself an authority on this subject. When I have a long difficult shot I jump up like a Jack-In-The-Box. So I would have to say, lack of confidence makes me do it. Hard to break old habits. Oh ya, and my back hand does some funny crap also.

So good to have AZB, running fast again!

I can't imagine life without AZB. I love this site and have learned a lot from reading posts. I appreciate the info that AZBers are giving up. To me, that is what this site is all about, helping your fellow pool player to improve upon his/her game. Thanks again everyone! Sher-lock

"Aim Small" on the Cue Ball

Although I don't agree with most of your posts, I can relate to this one. For years I worked with a guy that could not pronounce the word aluminum (only one i). His pronunciation sounded like al la min na min. I've got to give you credit for this one.

What I learned from the Wrist thread (long)

I'd recommend CJ for AZBilliards "Man of the Year Award", if there was such a thing. I have learned more from him then all of the books and other people's DVDs I have purchased. I'm glad he has chosen to stick around and share his valuable information with us. As for the naysayers, give us...

What is your Great Idea to Create more Pool Players

When I was a kid (50's), the local pool room owner use to walk around with a rack. Each rack was a nickel. Can you believe that? Giving the rate of inflation I don't know what that would translate to today. Fast forward to 2012. How about employing young women, who are well endowed with...

Interesting experience teaching SEE and Pro1

What a jump start this guy got from you. I know how long it takes to figure stuff out by yourself. Then again, sometimes you never figure it out. This guy is extremely lucky to have someone like you take the time to show him some of the intricacies in aiming. Well done! The only negative is...

Received my Pro 1/CTE DVD today

I bought the CTE/Pro One DVD. Spent too much time trying to figure it out. Set up the shots in the DVD and practiced. Couldn't understand it. I asked questions from some of the members here at AZB. It helped a little bit. Finally, I gave up and chalked it up to worst money I've spent...

Why did Mike Deshane opt out?

I have a number of things to say: 1. Mike is a stand up guy. When he has been in Portland, and I've asked him a question, he has always given me the time to answer. He is one talented player and anyone who knows him respects his ability. 2. This thread started out talking about BB and...
