Match of the Century? YOU be the Judge -Steve "The Miz" Mizerak vs C J Wiley

I watch a lot of matches that are streamed and on You Tube. This, without a doubt, is one of the best matches I have ever seen. What was amazing to me is the composure and the desire on The Miz to fight back when down 6-1. I know what would of happened to me - score would have wound up being...

CJ Wiley's New Video Series on AZBILLIARDS -7Cs to Playing Your Best Pocket Billiards

Hi CJ, I think it's great that you are willing to help us out. I wish there were more that were willing to share their expertise with us less than fortunate individuals Here are my questions: Connection -- When behind in a match or when someone is firing back at you, what do you do and how...

What I Stole From Fractional Aiming Systems

Thanks for the info Patrick and LAMas. When practicing I try thinking outside the box because I know what I am doing isn't working. I like asking questions and people like you and Fran C. have taken the time to help. I do think I may be trying to get to technical and need to concentrate on...

What I Stole From Fractional Aiming Systems

On a serious note. Can someone explain to me what, when looking at the cue ball and object ball, what two and three dimension looks like? Also, Patrick, when you are lined up using your system, do you do anything to compensate for throw. I just read somewhere that hitting the object ball...

    Ultimate Aim Primer

For what it's worth. There are some of us struggling pool players, that read these threads, with the hope of picking up some info that will help them with their game. Too many times these threads turn into a pi--ing match. If someone disagrees with what is being written, then why don't they...

    Aramith Power Ball Cleaner

Thanks for the info guys. Guess I'll continue cleaning by hand. Was looking for an easy way out. Thought this might be an alternative to the 5 gallon bucket do it yourself model. Would love to have the Diamond ball cleaner, but a little pricey.

    Aramith Power Ball Cleaner

Has anyone had the chance to try out the new Aramith ball cleaner yet? It only cleans one ball at a time. Was wondering what they mean by applying pressure to the ball. Do you have to press down on the ball while it is performing its cleaning action? Any comments will be appreciated.

WTT: My cue for any guns you have

I've got a Glock model 21. However, when thinking about whether I'd rather have my Glock or your pool cue in my hand against an intruder, I choose to keep my glock with my 45 hollow points. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Observations re: Shanelle Lorraine at SBE 2012

When I watch pool matches, I watch because I want to see a good match between two players that have the ability and talent to play pool. If you took two similar male players in skill to Shanelle and Borana, I find it hard to believe anyone would watch it. Let's face it, we all know why we are...

What skills do you need help with?

I would like to see some info on: - getting on line properly and consistently - grip and stroke - sighting/aiming Also, there are a number of systems out there to help with the kicking game. Maybe you could share like you did with the 3 diamond system. That was a good one. Now I know why...

    The Cut Break

Great article Lee. Corey Duel was practicing the 10 ball break a lot at the Expo that is presently going on. It's not necessary to smash the rack, a good controlled break, seems to work well. I'd like to also see an article on the V grip or grips in general. Getting on line consistently, and...

    Brash Americans

If I was sitting in a bar in Olongapo, I wouldn't want a 19 oz cue in my hands, I rather have an Uzi. However, maybe things have quieted down since I was last there in the 60's. Oh the memories. Beautiful country! Anyone ever ridden the cattle cars back to the ship from the Sky Club with a...

I let weird/meaningless stuff get to my head.

It really sounds like you've hit the nail on the head. When in a match, I know my thought process is don't miss, this person is capable of running out on you. When I'm practicing, it's just me. Makes a lot of sense. I'm going to work on this and I'll report back to you in a PM on how it is...

I let weird/meaningless stuff get to my head.

Fran, Read a lot of your posts and respect and agree with your comments. When you mentioned practicing in your own home pool room, shooting fast and loose, a light came on. Why is it when I'm practicing, everything goes my way? When someone is firing back at me, it's like I don't know what...

refinished a gold crown cue rack

I have the same type of cue holder for my GCIII. Fortunately it was in great shape, except for the nibs, and all I did was strip and re-stain. Came out great. I ordered replacement nibs from Ken at Classic Billiards.

Problem flying with cue to a Cuba resort?

You can take scissors if they are not longer than 5 inches but you have to check a pool cue. For the life of me I cannot understand this. We live in a world now, that refuses to fix the problem, but would rather make the majority miserable, so as not to impinge on someone's rights. You can...

    Consistency issues?

I've struggled with the consistency and confidence issue for more years than I care to mention. For me, it all comes down to a mental issue. Most times I play my opponent and not the table. When I do that, all kinds of issues come into play. Am I aiming properly, stroking, stance, bridge...
