Valley rails and side pocket: To fold or not to fold?

Not sure why the King would leave a location just because they didn’t want their rails folded like a Christmas present? A brand new Valley has no folds. You have to fold a worsted cloth, so if Diamonds didn’t come with worsted cloth I would think they also would come with no folds. Most people...

    3m 77

77 works good on a one piece slate like a Valley where you wrap the cloth underneath and the slate then sits on top of it. It will not work as well on tables that you just glue to the edge as the cloth can move or migrate. Just be sure the cloth strips are in place on the center support beams...

    3m77 and Mercury Ultra ???

Coin-op tables right? I bought my first bolt of Ultra last summer and have been using 77 with no problems. Be sure to wrap two or three inches underneath and the cloth will not migrate. Make sure the corresponding buffer strip of felt is attached to the middle of the cross beams.

Why are age and gender factors?

I've always thought from a pure physical standpoint there is no reason why a woman can't be just as good as a man. The one physical attribute that men have over women is they are usually taller which helps on some shots, but that's it. Others have commented on the mental factors which surely...

    Trade Organization

Instead of just patting each other on the back, how about instructional classes that actually teach the proper methods. You know, like other trade organizations do. Still waiting on Cobras glue videos as promised.

    Nortech Slate Lifter

Yea, that's the whole point of it, to do it by yourself. That and maybe to save your back. How do you wrap the cloth under the slate with the boards in the way? Do you just place the boards on the crossbeams?

Where Did You Learn To Recover?

This is a question I get quite frequently, usually when I've finished. I started in coin-op helping and watching an older gentlemen who was an industry veteran. Later I went to a seminar that my Distributor put on and learned the much better glue down method. I still do the field pretty much...

    Diamond Pro-Am Cushion Height?

In the OP's pic. It looks big enough that a piece of popcorn or something has worked its way in there. Hard to tell from the pic but if Glen says there's that much cloth relief then nevermind.

    Diamond Pro-Am Cushion Height?

It looks to me like there's a gap between the bottom of the rail and the slate.
