77 works good on a one piece slate like a Valley where you wrap the cloth underneath and the slate then sits on top of it. It will not work as well on tables that you just glue to the edge as the cloth can move or migrate. Just be sure the cloth strips are in place on the center support beams...

Just an FYI, a full bolt of cloth is 70yds in length.

Coin-op tables right? I bought my first bolt of Ultra last summer and have been using 77 with no problems. Be sure to wrap two or three inches underneath and the cloth will not migrate. Make sure the corresponding buffer strip of felt is attached to the middle of the cross beams.

Yea, that's the whole point of it, to do it by yourself. That and maybe to save your back. How do you wrap the cloth under the slate with the boards in the way? Do you just place the boards on the crossbeams?

Anybody use one of these? How do you like it? Seems kind of expensive for what you get. Any other options? Thanks.

In the OP's pic. It looks big enough that a piece of popcorn or something has worked its way in there. Hard to tell from the pic but if Glen says there's that much cloth relief then nevermind.

It looks to me like there's a gap between the bottom of the rail and the slate.
