He needs to make up a lot of ground and with two of the four remaining events being Cat 3, he'll need to either win or place in the top three at a couple of them.
I've also noticed this in myself. As soon as I do notice it (usually after missing a ball), I am much more deliberate in my back stroke. I've also noticed that I typically do this when attempting a shot where I need lots of follow.

Were Europeans wanting to change the format when we had a streak where we won 9 out of 10? These things happen, don't change the format just because we're on a bit of a slide.
