Based on the updated photo, I would rather believe that we are seeing an optical illusion. The electric light is in front of the old gas light. From the angle the photo was taken the electric light appears above the gas light.

Downloaded the free version to check it out. Looks like something I'd be interested in. In the paid app, is there a way to denote who on your team is present that evening? We have a couple of guys that have odd schedules and aren't always there.

The few times I've had the opportunity to play snooker, I ask on almost every shot. With numbers on the balls, the only excuse I have is my own laziness.

I'm color blind. I try to look at the numbers before every shot, but sometimes I "assume". If I shoot the wrong ball, that's on me for not reading the numbers.

You didn't specify which league. But, some of them state that it's the shooters call if there wasn't a neutral observer.

Not that what a hack like me does is of any concern, but I carry a small 3" x 3" piece of cloth in my case that is specifically for this purpose. Keeps the inside of my case clean and I don't eff up anybody's property. That's just the way my momma raised me.

No matter what they do, I doubt it solves the issue that i'm COLOR BLIND and have no idea what ball is what without seeing the numbers. (someday I'm gonna file a civil suit! <-- I'm joking)

My table is in my Garage, and although my garage is insulated it does not have Air Conditioning... and in Indiana right now, it's hotter than blue blazes and the humidity is at about 90%.... So NONE!! However, when it's comfortable outside, at least 3 - 4 hours a week.

I don't post a lot on here, but I've been reading this forum for quite a while. hitting the "post" button to see exactly how long that's been. :)
