    Re-use or Re-purpose cloth

A little over a year ago, I purchased and installed Simonis 860 on my table. The cloth is still in very good condition. A little over a month ago I was offered a chance to leave the job I'm in (no I didn't get fired) and move closer to my family. So, My question is, have you ever attempted to...

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, tonight whatever. Thanks to a forgetful buddy, there's a portable air conditioner as well... So if it gets to hot outside, garage door comes down. Kerosene heater for cold winter days. With the setup now... I can remove the panels and have my truck in there in...

Update to my Garage / Pool Room.

It's been a while since I posted here, but for some reason I felt the need to share this. Since I've moved into the house i'm in now, I've had to use the Garage for double duty, one as a Garage and the other as a place to play pool.. aka pool room. The biggest issue I've had is that during...

Sugeestions for simple format for tournament

I wasn't reading the "chips" format as giving the winner your chips. I was reading it as lose the game, lose a chip... last person with a chip wins. and to speed things up, I think 4 or 5 chips would be plenty. maybe less.

    Strangest rules you've ever seen?

I was visiting my family this past weekend when my brother mentioned that one of his buddies was putting on a small tournament in a local establishment, so I ventured over and inquired as to the rules. Everything was as expected with the exception of their "25 cent foul pot." Every time a...

Sugeestions for simple format for tournament

Just as soon as the temperatures here in Indiana start to rise, I'm going to have some of my acquaintances over to my house for some food and to unveil the newly upgraded playing surface on my table (another thread, another time). As part of the evening I'm contemplating having a small...

Caught my 19 month old on the table again.

These pictures scare me for a personal reason. When I was 4 or 5 I snuck up on my grandfathers table and promptly fell head first onto the concrete basement floor. Fractured my scull from my nose to the base of my skull (back of head.) Other than splitting head aches from time to time I have...

    My First Package

I've never thought about asking for an "inning" spot, but I do get a safety spot. If I play a strong enough safe that the ghost can't see the object ball without jumping or kicking then I get the ball back (in hand). Lots of help that gives me... i play bad. :sorry:

Any of you play better mad?

In every sport I've ever competed!!! Unfortunately it doesn't last. -- A year or two ago, I was playing a league match (8-ball) where the other team threw off... one of the team mates of the person I was playing was telling the player which ball to shoot next... Irritated me a bit, rather...

    Music to Play Pool By

As long as it's in the play list in my head I'm good to go. If something is playing that I don't know (or like.. aka "disco rap crap"), then I start humming to myself.

    A pleasant Christmas surprise...

My grandfather was a farmer... the kind that worked every day of his life from sun up to sun down and then dedicated the rest of his time to family... Having said that, I do have memories of playing on that table with cousins, aunts, uncles etc.. However I don't recall ever being at the table...

    A pleasant Christmas surprise...

Since I inherited and moved my grandfathers pool table a few years ago.. I've been asking around for photographs of the table with family members at or around it. This is my mothers family... She had 3 brothers and 1 sister, which in turn provided my grandparents with 18 grand children. So...

Simplified kicking systems, where are they?!?!

I'm right there with the Original Poster... When someone starts trying to explain kicking systems to me using mathematics, I might as well be listening to Charlie Browns teacher. I think I killed that part of my brain in college.
