    How to handle aging eyesight

I finally broke down and went to contacts. After a bit of a learning curve and fine tuning the prescription, I'm fairly happy. I went with a split prescription, one eye slightly closer range, one eye slightly farther. Works pretty good.

Wanted: Revo 12.9 30” radial pin

I've got a 12.4, 30" radial, BVP, chalked and test hit but very little play. I still have all of the original stuff that came with it (sleeve, wipes, etc.) PM if interested. Not a single blemish on it.

    Revo in 30" ??

I just got off the phone with them no 11.8 in the 5/16 joint, for now. They do in the Uni and Radial.

    Revo in 30" ??

Thanks, this wasn't obvious during my search. I did finally notice that the tip diameter and available lengths depend on joint type. Options for Uni or Radial are numerous, while the 5/16x18 joint type is not offered in 30". What is somewhat confusing is that the customization options above...

    Revo in 30" ??

I've got Revo's for my 3/8x10 and Unilock Butts but want one for my Meucci's. I would really prefer 30" but don't see those anywhere. Is there such a thing as a 30" Revo shaft?

"I always sell my cues for a profit" sellers

Same across most all stuff for sale from individuals. I went to see a lathe today that was advertised as "never been used". Not only was it rusted, it was six years old and had obviously been used a lot. Two weeks ago I went to pickup a new table saw, this one advertised, with pictures, of...

"Best" way to check for taper roll?

I recently had an interaction on a sale where the buyer was concerned about Taper roll. I'm wondering if there is a "standard practice" way to measure taper roll that is accepted by most as the "right way" The only way I've done it is to put the very bottom of the butt on the cloth with the...

Is Cypress a good choice for butt components??

    3/8-10 taps

Chris Hightower sells some very small thread mills that would fit inside .375 quite easily.

    Cutting groove for wrap?

When builders do combination tapers are they typically stopping the taper during the wrap and resuming on the other end? OR, do some builders put a crown in the wrap area?

    30" shafts

My last four builds have been 30/30. Balance point (butt vs shaft) is about the same but the extra length has been helpful for some playing predominantly on 9’ tables.

Remove SuperPad interior, replace with Tubes?

If you are set in deciding to do this, you might want to consider thinner wall tubing than PCV. I had a buddy do one, it was a 3x5 case, and he used thinner wall tubes that are used in golf bags for club separation. He hot-melted them together to get a strong bundle and specific shape, then...

    WTB cue lathe, recommendations welcomed

You are slightly mistaken on this comment. The CueSmith DOES have live threading, I do it all the time on my lathe, but it is an option, not part of the standard configuration. My CueSmith is fully loaded with live threading and most all of his other options, and fit my humble needs just fine.

    Meucci extensions

I have the 2" extension at 2.6 ounces and the 4" extension at 3.0 ounces. The 6" should, theoretically, weigh in at 3.4 ounces and the 8" at 3.8 ounces. Note that this is for the carbon fiber version of the extensions and includes the rubber bumper.

Weight bolts changed a bit. Pill bumper replaced with more current version. Adapter bumper to allow for extension.
