    14.1 high runs... be honest

We finally have something of a pool hall reopening in the area and I'll be able to get on a 9ft again. This tournament has inspired me to give this game a try. Playing on anything smaller in my mind just doesn't count.

    American 14.1.................

I'll give you that on 14.1. This is the most I've watched it and I don't play it.

Anyone play with a newer Dufferin?

Been thinking about getting some decent cues for friends who come over that don't own cues. Saw Dufferins on Budget Billiards for about $60. I used to play with one, hit good. But that one was probably 20 years old wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of it now.

How long to pick a favorite cue?

I'll be the odd guy out here I guess. I've been using the same cue for about 8 years. Took me a couple months of looking before I bought. I have another nice cue that I pull out about maybe every 6 months, hit about a dozen shots w it and put it away. To me consistency is King. You get to...

    Funny pic/gif thread...

So true. That's why even the most simple job on my Wrangler I hesitate on. My power steering pump needs replaced, too afraid I'm gonna bust a bolt. Had a friend who's a master mechanic for about 30 years do my water pump last year. He busted a bolt. If I knew for sure everything would come off...

    Break cloth patch

Stopped using a template rack for one reason, it's a tight rack I'll never see in a league or local tourney. Even when I rack myself, the balls are never that tight. No one uses template racks around here, at least not in those playing situations. Appreciate everyone's input. I feel its...

    Choosing a new/used table

I had to have a 3pc slate 7ft to get in my space. I camped on Craig's list for about 3 months. Found a table that had only a few games played on it. Don't be in a rush and you'll find a cherry deal. Btw, my slate hasn't moved a bit and my rails are as tight as the day I set it up.

    Choosing a new/used table

I just tried to get a newer Valley coin operated for a friend for $500. Without kicking the price way up, I don't know where you will do better. There's a Diamond listed on cl by me for around $4500.

    Being a strong player

I never looked at the handicap as a way to improve a players game. How would that work? Am I misinterpreting the question? A lower player doesn't score as bad but a loss is a loss. All the handicap does is feed you a few scraps so your handicap doesn't get destroyed when playing a much better...

    Break cloth patch

I have a bar box in the house, all i could fit. I like 14.1 but it's downright criminal to play it on a 7 footer.

    Wwyd ?

I wouldn't stress on it too much. Live and learn and don't let yourself get called on that garbage again. You might try some CBD cream on your hand. Of the success I have heard with that stuff it's been similar to what you're going through.

    Break cloth patch

I've used one before on a bar box and didn't have issues with CB leaving the table. I feel I have a fairly powerful break but I wasn't using a break cue at the time. My friends who aren't so used to using a break cue seem to launch the CB at least once a night. So maybe a break pad with them...

    Break cloth patch

Pretty simple, if you own a table do you have separate small patch of cloth you put the CB on when you break? Finally about to get the table recovered and it crossed my mind. It's gonna get marks anyway. But I do break from the same spot most of the time.

    McDermott Jump Training Ball

For someone who has never jumped and needs the points of cue contact to CB, I can see it helping some. There is still the correct stroke needed. I also think the dynamics of the jump will affect contact points and again stroke. Is it a quick up in the air jump or is the ball to be jumped two...

    Niels takes the fifth...........

I feel the US has a real shot at it. Some of the small things go their way and it's ours I think. May e just wishful thinking but I thought overall, w the exception of a couple breakdowns we performed fairly well last year.
