That is the worst reason I have heard to get out of a deal and not send somebody what was agreed upon after money had exchanged hands. I really hope that isn't true.
Have him take pictures of the damage. I kinda doubt it happened during shipping if it was bubble wrapped. I am also curious how long the cue has been in his possession.
Whoa dude take a chill pill. He was barred from playing in the event. Who gives a rip if he watches. Geesh some people. Correct me if I am wrong but Mark doesn't own the place. I just wanted to know if he did something while on the premises that got him kicked out.
If you have seen the movie Happy Gilmore it is just like his golf swing. Run at the table with a cue and "RAM" the cue ball so it generates more power.
The only reason I know this is somebody actually wrote a book on pool and added that as one of the shots. I wish I had a link!
Take your money and pay for lessons instead of trying to get a ridiculous spot. Remember, at the end of the day we play the game because we enjoy it. Try not to forget that. Matchup with somebody close to your speed so you can play a fun competitive game.
Can't blame him for knowing what he wants. Besides the guy who started this thread asked for opinions.
As for how I value the cue. I would say that $60 is about as high as I can go on a cue that looks like it fell out of the back of a car.
You will get more bang for your buck with a Bautista cue than any cue made in the US. If you are interested in a cue from the Philippines you may also want to check out JD cues.
This story makes me sick. Why would the bar agree to have a tourney in the first place if they were going to take one of the two tables away? 16 people and two tables is already really right. My feeling is you gotta walk and not look back. Find another bar that might be interested in have a tourney.
