Get Rid of that Measle Ball!

The measles ball is my cue ball of choice. I also never noticed it collects more chalk than other cue balls. Easy fix. Just rub it on the rail between games. Takes a coupe seconds. Maybe cleaning the table might help also.

Those Two Undercover Monster players are real. I have photographic evidence!

The smart thing is to exercise your rights. Some Russian guy wants me to delete something he better give me a good reason. You do not need consent to photograph somebody. It is always polite to ask but not required.

Those Two Undercover Monster players are real. I have photographic evidence!

to me the story breaks down when he deleted the memory card. - Bringing a gun into a bar is probably a felony offense. - Why would he delete the card? I would tell the guy to kiss off. Make him show the gun. Very doubtful he would risk going away for life because of a memory card.

    An apology

Since the call normally goes to the shooter it is the responsibility of the shooter to call a foul when they commit one. Putting the responsibility on your opponent is unfair. When you foul pick up the cueball and hand it to them. Easy right? It is unless you want to cheat your opponent out of...

    APA Sharking Question

I did reread it. You were rude. Just because we don't see eye to eye doesn't mean you are right. Do you play APA? I am guessing you don't. It is a social experience. Talking with people while your opponent is at the table is common place with regular league play. As a captain I try and talk to...

    APA Sharking Question

You were nasty. Read what you said: It is surprising and depressing to hear people say what you have just said. You are certainly not alone. Your screen name makes your reply less surprising. If everyone on earth agreed with you, you would still be wrong.

    APA Sharking Question

If the person was talking to his opponent during her shot that would be sharking. If the person had broke down his cue that would have been a loss of game. Walking over to talk with you captain is perfectly acceptable. The guy said she wasn't even down on her shot when he walked by. What is the...

    APA Sharking Question

You seem to be confused. This is league play at a bar. Not the Mosconi cup. Unfortunately bar play means you don't always have optimal seating and sometimes you need to move in order to speak with your teammates.

    APA Sharking Question

I don't understand why some people are so sensitive. Talking with your teammates is part of league play. As long as you don't interrupt the person shooting it isn't sharking. IMO walking over to talk with the captain while your opponent is shooting shouldn't be sharking. For the record I ALWAYS...

    APA Sharking Question

I don't understand why that should be conceding the game. Maybe I don't know enough about what happened. In my APA league people get up and sit down throughout the match. Not to shark the opponent but because they need a drink or want to go to the bathroom or whatever. Just because he assumed...

    APA Sharking Question

Nobody likes to blame themselves for missing a easy shot, right? It seems obvious that she was trying to place the blame on you. Talking to your captain between shots is not against the rules. Sometimes people will walk in front of shots. It happens. If anybody has poor sportsmanship it should...

Are there many scamers here on AZ trying to steal peoples cues?

Escrow is the only fool proof way to avoid theft by both parties. It is a tool that should be used.

Can you top my bad luck???

I am not trying to debate if luck is something that exists. My point was that you shit the bed and lost. You didn't scratch because of bad luck. You scratched because you played a bad shot. Don't hide behind the "luck" factor. Man up and figure out what you need to do better next time.

Help with fair market value for my used Jacoby cue?

$300 is what I might offer

Can you top my bad luck???

You probably aren't nearly as good as you think you are. Scratching on the 3rd game was your fault and not bad luck. Why not try and play better instead of blaming a missed shot on bad luck?

    sandbagging ?

I haven't read all the posts in this thread. APA basically determines your handicap based on innings, winning percent and skill level of your opponent. NAPA if I am not mistaken is simply based on win/loss percent. They are calculated completely differently. Also, if we are talking about...

Can someone guide me in the right direction im about to buy a cue

The players cue is the better of the two. My GF just bought one and I played around with it. Great hit for a low end production cue.
