    Thicker wrap?

You can always have someone like Castillo cut a thicker wrap for you and have a local guy put it on. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

How do YOU stay calm when,.....

Robin has the right idea. Routine and a repeatable stroke are the answer every time. Pressure situations are when stroke flaws rear their ugly head. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

how did these two get on the mosconi team

I'm not wanting to take sides in this but... Basing qualification to an international team tournament on finishes in arbitrary tournaments isn't much better. I'm not singling anyone out but we're not posting our best 5. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

What does the "orange crush" mean in handicapping?

Freddie the beard defines it in his books as the 5 out and the snaps. That's what I've always heard it referred to as well. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

    scoring defensive shots in apa

What kills me in this is that the people marking unwarranted safeties don't understand that is just as bad as not marking safeties at all. I've even had this discussion with a few of the observers in Vegas. Which are simply LO's that have volunteered for the most part. Some are better than...

    scoring defensive shots in apa

Creedo, under your scenario it is an obvious safe because your intention is to play safe. If you get unlucky enough to make a ball then that is just a bad roll. The scenario where sharkster and I are talking is playing an offensive shot with intent on making a ball first. Some of the earlier...

    scoring defensive shots in apa

I agree completely. Creedoo and many others way of scorekeeping skews the system just as bad as the sandbaggers. I've played against these teams for years that mark a defense after virtually every missed shot. It is not defense to play a smart pattern that gives you the best chance of running...

    scoring defensive shots in apa

If he made it would he have kept shooting and ran out? A low percentage shot isn't a safe, even if it is a 2 way. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

    scoring defensive shots in apa

If the intent was to pocket the ball then it is not a safe. This is the main problem with the APA. The majority of the players simply don't understand the game. And really don't understand if an upper level player is playing safe or trying to run out. If the ball would have fell would you...

Dechaine's decision paying off for now...

I'm not a huge Dechaine fan but, Like him or not...you have to respect Mike for the fact that he does come on this forum to answer his naysayers. And he does so in a straightforward no nonsense fashion and is respectful in how he does it. What other sport do the top players interact directly...

Dechaine's decision paying off for now...

The bonus ball guys are getting a dime a week to practice right now. And I'm sure some of them are clearing well better than 2500 with the action that's going on in Vegas right now. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

Schon Runde era, weight bolt or assembly bolt?

You can do either. It will change the hit significantly without a bolt but will not cause any damage structurally. Just make sure you don't damage or lose the original, that might hurt any resale on the cue. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

Schon Runde era, weight bolt or assembly bolt?

The picture is of a weight bolt. But I'm not sure if that is the question you're asking or not. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

What's the call...8 ball Valley rules...

As the previous poster said, there are different types of fouls. 8 out of turn is not a cue ball foul therefore a legal shot was completed. Comparing a scratch to an 8 out of turn is apples and oranges. They are different fouls with different outcomes. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

What's the call...8 ball Valley rules...

I don't know about Valley Rules but in Tap and BCA if he made the ball in the pocket he called without scratching then it would count. The 8 ball is a game ending foul, but not a foul on the pocketed ball. In my interpretation only a scratch or pocketing the wrong ball or the right ball in the...

How many of you think someone in the final 4 of the US Open would dump?

I agree with most of the previous posters. No dumping going on here. Maybe a saver or two but there is a huge difference in a saver and a dump. Sent from my BlackBerry 9650 using Tapatalk

    Jack Justis vs JB Cases

Ditto to that. John's posts on here turned me off of him. I have a Justis and a Swift and both are excellent cases. My Justis 2x4 is extremely light and a gorgeous case. The craftsmanship is fantastic in both. If I were budget conscious I would go with the Swift. If you want to spend a...

You may hate the APA but.....

I understand completely. I'm a SL5 and have not played APA for a few sessions because I had gotten tired of it. My girlfriend joined this session at my constant begging. After two weeks she absolutely loves it. It is her favorite night of the week now. She is an SL1 in 9 and a SL2 in 8 but...
