    Years ago I had a friend at work who gave me his old busted up cf arrows. I cut them down to six inches or more,drilled out the front of shafts and used them as tenons

    Drill,plug and then turn down the plug to fit? I think the way you did it would make the shaft shorter

    If you want to do just tips. The mini-lathes (HF ect) would be good enough. Just need a way to make a rest for the back of the shaft.
