    Come to Canada

Le Skratch is closed??? That's news to me. I played there a few weeks ago in our league playoffs... And their web site is still promoting events later in February - where did you hear they were closing?

    Come to Canada

I knew there was a reason I hated cats... We've been playing the GWN's at the Coronation on Avenue road lately... nice pool room - GC's and Granito; used to be a bowling alley - and there's always the Charlotte Room downtown which is owned by the august gentleman who started this whole thread...

    ShXt on hard tips.

My experience (and I now have Moori mediums on 6 of my cues) is that once initially shaped, a 'real' Moori stays that way, doesn't need scuffing, chalks just fine, and doesn't mushroom. I have ones that are worn down to 1/8 of an inch, brand new ones, and everything in-between and I never miscue...

    Table Delivery Questions

Do what I did and video-tape the whole thing. It's like a felt replacement tutorial if I ever want to change anything myself...

    Post your Tuckers...

He made the mistake of playing with it at a GWN tournament in Toronto that I organized. BTW, he won the tournament with it... I'm not sure if that's still in the cards... Murray? Singapore...?

    Post your Tuckers...

Mine isn't strictly a Tucker but Murray made the fore-arm. So it's a hybrid. Thierry Layani and Alain Gendron at Layani did the rest... http://www.layanicues.com/en/newcues1.htm

Please help me identify this cue

Well, FWIW, I really don't think it's a Gina either - just trying to figure out what the GC could possibly stand for... maybe it belonged to someone's wife and it's a "Girly-Cue"?

Please help me identify this cue

"Between 1961 to 1973, Ernie starts to engrave Gina Cue on all his billiard cues. In 1988, he uses the initial of GC for the logo of the billiard cues he made." Found a reference on Google... http://www.billiard-cue-site.com/articles-gina-cues.htm I wonder if he used GC on his first...

Please help me identify this cue

Didn't Ernie Gutierrez use "GC" as a signature logo on his early cues? David "The Hamster" Malone.

    Layani joint protectors?

I went through this with Thierry and he convinced me that the Layani joint really doesn't need protectors. The stainless steel half is, well, stainless steel... and the short pin and phenolic female part is also pretty well bullet proof. It would be pretty hard to bend it like a conventional...

    JAM's Holiday Jingle?

Lol... great picture, JAM. Reminds me of some of the pictures my wife has taken of me and my dog. She always says, "One of you is giving the other fleas... and I'm not sure which one..."

    Help!

Lol... as a one-time pro footballer in England, I've had to take many penalties. Scored on most of them but also missed a couple. The best thing for a non-player is to side-foot it and aim low for one of the corners. The goal-keeper, even if he guesses right, then has the furthest distance to...

Yeah... that sounds like something she would do. She keeps returning all the invitations Hugh sends me from the Playboy Mansion as well...

    Please take DM back...?

Hey... I resemble that remark. I'm a non-smoker - never smoked in my life (well, I tried a cigar in the air-raid shelters behind the school once but I turned green and threw up).

    Please take DM back...?

Lol... 'weasel' - it's Pop goes the Weasel. I WAS going to explain, but... like the NY pizza maker in a local President's Choice commercial "I don't take well to threats". (grin).

    Please take DM back...?

    Lol... maybe not to you.

He's a royal pain in the ass. You had him first... please take him back.

What Do You Hate To See In A Cue?

Nevertheless, I once owned a cue by Sheldon Lebow that had absolutely wonderful rings on it made from malachite, ebony, and ivory. Nice contrast to the highly figured maple fore-arm... it can be done - you just need the good taste to use it in small doses...

    Your True Potential

If I'm in dead-stroke and feeling good about my game, I'm absolutely convinced I can still make anyone else here look like Efren Reyes....
