Which cue maker would you buy from?

I agree... plus you have the chance to actually hit a few balls with it and see if it's really what you want. I never found a cue with a hit I was happy with until I hit some balls with a Layani - I now have 3 (soon to be 4)...

    opening a small room

Most of the small rooms around here survive on BEER sales and food sold to league players. Actual rates for the 9' tables are largely irrelevant. They usually have up to 4 Valley tables and can count on the APA crowd on Mondays and the VNEA crowd on Tuesdays with up to 30 players each day. A...

    Blackjack's Buzzkill

Like Michelle Wie... incredible and she's only 16. What we need is a sponsor who makes 'pool' sneakers... wonder what they'd look like. I guess the problem is there isn't anyone in the billiards industry that makes enough money to sponsor any player to that degree.

    pool players holiday

Ever think about going to Canada instead? Lots of amazing poolhalls*, night life, nearbye casino's in Orillia and Niagara Falls, non-american beer (grin)... *Like the Academy for the Spherical Arts for example http://www.sphericalarts.com/about_history.htm

What do you do with your Chalk when Playing

Oddly enough, it doesn't fall out. I guess the pocket is tight enough to prevent that happening. I will look into a hamster size waistcoat, though... lol.

What do you do with your Chalk when Playing

I always wear a shirt with a breast pocket... and, to my wife's chagrin, I have a habit of putting the chalk in my pocket between shots. It's always conveniently there when I need it and I don't have to share it with any of those spin-chalkers who drill holes in their chalk...

What is your Favorite Pool Grip Material (Wrap v/s Wrapless)

I'm already a lean, mean fighting machine but I do appreciate the suggestions... that last picture... ouch.

What is your Favorite Pool Grip Material (Wrap v/s Wrapless)

Sheesh... I resemble that remark. How many hamsters would have to die before you got enough skin for just one wrap???

    Motivational Slogan.

Don't know if this helps but a local pool room (the Coronation) has a set of rules... No food and drink on the tables, don't sit on the tables, spend lots of money.

What is your Favorite Pool Grip Material (Wrap v/s Wrapless)

Count me in as one of those. None of the cues I've ever owned has had a wrap and I just feel more comfortable with the grip of the bare wood. A leather stacked wrap comes close... I definitely like 'no warp' on all my cues... :-)

    Keith and Shane

Lol... I can remember when I was 18 and playing pro soccer with people whom I considered incredibly old (like 35-40). I got in trouble in exactly the same way as Shane - I really didn't think those (as I saw it) old age pensioners would mind some little digs about their age. I could see they...

    to former RSB'ers

Nope. Well I don't imagine so. Tony Matthews retired, quit making pool cues and went to live way up north (unfortunately his shop collapsed with half a ton of snow load on the roof), where he plays the odd game of pool with his buddy Andre Gagnon, but no longer has an e-mail address or an...

    Glove vs Talc.

I'm sure he has a sponsor but I'm also pretty sure he wouldn't wear it if he didn't think it helps his game. I think Cuetec has probably given him dozens over the years... :-)

    Barry Cameron custom cues

Matthew, my wife has a beautiful Cameron cue which she 'borrowed' from me and refuses to give back. The workmanship is superb and she prefers the hit to her old Pechauer Pro or Layani. http://community.webshots.com/photo/187866060/187877262DLIAhT The photo doesn't do it justice. It's a bocote...

    budweiser cues and hustling

All of you are missing the point. A good player can play with almost anything -and some of the best players I've encountered play with a house cue or a 30 year old Dufferin or Meucci with the tip worn down to 11cms. I have a buddy (one of the best players I know) who plays with a Budweiser ramon...
