This is amazing information. I just don't know what my next step should be. Any suggestions?

    90-degree proposition cut shot

Bob, it looked like you used right English on the shots you missed but left English on the shots with the smudge.

Not when I play pool... but you can see my reflection in the sunglasses.

    Lifting Weights before a Tournament?

I am 82 now and walk slower so the extra 5 minutes is good for me. It works the whole body but you will really notice it in your stroking muscle group.

    Lifting Weights before a Tournament?

The tightness and stiffness in muscles is due to lactic acid build up. To eliminate this, when you finished your routines, take a brisk walk for 20 minutes. Problem solved plus it is great for your entire body.

Taom V10 is the best chalk I've used. If you've got something better tell me what and why.

I may be 'old school', Kamui .98 is the best...but only if you are stingy using it. Most folks have to grind chalk.

Calling Dr Dave. And Bob J. And Jay H - close cue ball shot

It seems like it would be too hard to call. If it is definitely undecidable, the call goes to the shooter. If you were refereeing a game and the shooter shot much harder than need be, would this change your call?

Billiards Digest April 2017 - Bob Jewett - Big Shots

I must be looking at a different shot. The first shot (Diagram #2) is a draw shot to get get position for a side pocket shot. Shooting with follow is going to make a long shot, or if shooting in the side , a possible scratch..

    Straight Stroking Drills

Over the years I have tried every type of grip. Why? Because I always stroke to the right side of the cue ball. It was almost impossible to get a pure perfect hit. So I tried this, not expecting any measure of improvement. Amazing improvement instantly. It did not feel clumsy at all. Every time...

Question(s) for Bob Jewett or Dr. Dave, perhaps?

Your assumption is that a simultaneous hit is probably unlikely. Yes it is probably unlikely but you can determine how unlikely it is. Put a cue ball on the table, then freeze two object balls side by side about 1 foot in front of the cue ball. You now have a cue ball a foot away from the...

    Middle Finger vs Forefinger

I have tried most of the suggestion posted. Good suggestions...Thanks. This is what seems to work best for me. I put the cue ball on a white paper reinforcement. Then another reinforcement where my tip finishes the stroke. After a couple of practice shots (cue ball only), I concentrate on where...

    Difficult Shot...Re. Miscue Limit

A few weeks ago I started a post, Miscue Limit. I appreciate the responses and the effort folks put in to them. My problem was trying to make this shot from Freddy Bentivegna's book, Banking With The Beard. It took me about 50 or so tries (probably more} before success. I have made it 3 times...

It is easy with a heavy cue ball.
