I have this same problem, my elbow is not inline with my wrist. so this is a interesting idea, i guess i could use the ones designed for bowling as long as i dont take this too far like earl strickland running around with all these gadets.

i use a 19.50 cue and i feel as blackheart knows i have more control, less stroke error and tip placement error. although i use a 17oz break cue, but that is a whole nother discussion.

I would go with a pechauer, billiard warehouse offers 100s of them with custom options like stain,wrap,shaft diameter,tip,weight,collar,butt cap etc. they range from low end to high end i play with a sneaky pete that i bought for $280 and its solid hits great and i dont know if ill ever replace it.

The only people who are against phenolic tips/g-10 etc are old pool players that are stubborn in there ways and dont like change i guarantee most younger players welcome new technology, jump cues force you to play better safes...if we dont welcome change then we will never know what could have...
