sounds like it might just be bad tips, triangle and lepros are (i believe) very inconsitent from tip 2 tip, but when you find a good triangle tip theyre awesome. btw there are only hard triangle tips. hope this helps.

I try to stay away from using liquids like water (magic eraser) and rubbing alcohol. i have a q-wiz and i take the sanding part to the shaft(this takes away the chalk and brings back the natural wood) then i heavily condition the shaft with slyde rite talc let it get into the pores of the wood...

Most of these guys were smart enough to realize that pool is a young mans game (in the pro world anyway) and why the money was good they invested in business or opened rooms.

If you dont know what hardness you like, get a medium play with it and decide if its not hard enough or not soft enough. i use a moori hard and for me they are perfect.
