It's Halloween--no better time to battle the ghost

You are brave people. It's common knowledge the pool ghost is much stronger near Halloween. Be very careful or you may end up in a Twilight Zone experience. Sent from my iPad using AzBilliards Forums mobile app

Is Max Eberle as big as a goof as I now think?

Who's gives a shit? He can believe whatever he wants without judgement from me. Just like everyone else in the world. If he can teach me something about pool I don't already know he can believe the cosmos resides in Kim Kardashians ass for all I care. He's a cool guy and a great teacher...

    REVO $1399 cue

Joey, A friend of mine who I consider to be a short stop caliber player and a serious student of the game for at least 30 years loves his Revo P3. He bought it in Vegas at the APA Masters finals. I gave him a few months and then quizzed him on the Revo. He says he will never go back to a...

New: Pro Series (Billiard Glasses By Curran Opticians)

After looking at both websites its clear to me that Bill Curan is offering a better product. Yes the Canadian website is cheaper and they look cheaper. Bills website has 8 models, varying shapes, lens materials, frameless options, titanium frames, carbon etc. I have no idea why Bill needs to...

Need Help - City Fighting Pool Hall

A fun center with kiddie games and no booze has zero chance of success in my part of America. Might be different elsewhere.

How much of a difference does a cue make?

The game was originally played with a mace so yes a cue is a serious upgrade.

What are the reasons you like to play someone ?

Ditto for me as well. I turn people down all the time who just want to shoot around. I want a table to groove my stroke in not watch someone else play.

    AzB's Dumbing Down

Until recently other than popping into the for sale forum and tournament announcements once in awhile I have avoided this place for a long time. This placed used to be civil - if a person disagreed they did so politely, with some class and offered some substance and reasoning backing their...

first product that might actually help your game??

That may seem spendy but check out the price golfers pay their gizmos some time. If they can sell them I say go for it.

    Are break cues nessessary '?

Some people do well with a heavy breaker, I break poorly with a heavy breaker but everyone is different. That's why they make lots of styles, configurations and weights. Whatever works best for the individual. My opinion is that a player that has never owned a breaker should start with what...

    Are break cues nessessary '?

If you decide to purchase a break cue my advice is buy one that most feels like your playing cue in terms of balance. Also keep your break cue within an ounce or so of your playing cue. Too much weight can be a hindrance. As you practice your break start at a moderate speed until you have...

Alternative to keeping score with coins under the rails

Pennies for me or pen and paper works just fine. Now with that being said I have to buy these. I like colorful things to carry in my case. Makes me feel better to have lots of stuff.

first product that might actually help your game??

Looks like a good product to me. If it helps some people what's the problem with it. Pretty much any and every product that comes along for pool draws instant criticism and sarcasm. There are many ways to correct a stroke - this could be one more tool in someones arsenal.

Playing more towards center CB, using rails to create natural angles that play toward my shape as much as possible.

Fusco's The Spot (smoking allowed - nasty)

Poolmouse stated it is a great room with great equipment. He then stated the smoke bothers him and he will probably not go back. He is not bashing the room on a public forum... he said it was a great room with great equipment. I swear people do not read or think about what is posted before...

    Best tip for aiming...

I won a 1200 tournament awhile back using Pro1... not offering that up for proof of anything just stating it works wonders for me. I am never going back to the way I played for the first 30 years. Aim the way you like... use a system... don't use a system... aim by feel... don't aim at all...
