MY CTE PRO One Footwork (re post due to images)

When pivoting shorten up your bridge a bit and focus on cuing through center CB. Like a short stroke with a good long follow through, firm but not hard. You may be swerving your cue a little off center CB. If you are center pocketing balls for shorter shots then long shots should be falling...

Talk to your opponent after match?

I always acknowledge the other player whether I win or lose. It is part of being a good sport. I usually just say good match or something along those lines. Most guys that have just taken a loss are not ready to chat it up immediately after.

break shot? why so much emphasis on smashing the rack?

Why do I drive my bass boat 70 MPH when it only saves me a minute verses going 45 MPH. Cause I can.

MY CTE PRO One Footwork (re post due to images)

Every time i start thinking about footwork is when I start missing. You should not be trying to repeat your pivot by using footwork or body movement. You lock your eyes in and let your body go to wherever feels natural. It helps me to put a piece of 1" masking tape on the table and place the...

    GPS Your Case?

Anyone considered putting a GPS tracker in a case? You can purchase a small GPS tracker on ebay for $25.00. Might be cheap insurance to track down a thief.

    Stolen Cues Returned !

The place has been broken into twice so the owner did put in a bunch of cameras. He can watch them from his phone or any computer and they are recorded. Pretty good bet it was really on tape and not a bluff.

    Stolen Cues Returned !

A friend of mine has his cue case with two beautiful Prathers a break cue and all the usual accessories stolen. The owner of the establishment where the items were stolen put the word out that he had the whole thing on camera. The cue case and cues were found lying by the door a few days later...

How would you shoot this? Layout Included.

My first thought was to roll the 6 up on to the 10 and force my opponent to shoot at the 9 ball. I guessed he would slow roll the CB off the 9 and towards the corner. Then the safety battle is on which I did not want. I opted to Z Bank the 5 for the corner and draw the CB back at a slightly...

How would you shoot this? Layout Included.

The game is 8 ball and you are solids. 5 ball cannot be banked back across to side or to the corner pocket since the 6 & 10 balls are in the way. The 6 cannot be cut into the corner without scratching in the side - no way to avoid the scratch. It cannot be banked since the 10 ball is...

A new level of tournament dumb ass.

So I am shooting in a tournament last weekend and this kid in his 20's whipped out his smart phone. He then starts playing around with his strobe light app and shining it in all his friends faces at the table they are sitting around. Consequently it is flashing in my peripheral vision and its...

    entry fees+added money-TD fee-greens fee=really?

Have you ever directed a tournament? From your post I am guessing you have not. It takes many hours before the tournament ever starts for advertising, seeking out sponsors, contacting players, etc. Then you spend 16 hours a day running the tournament itself. Then you have the babysitting part...

Players Pure X Break Cue Review

I purchased a Players Pure X Model HXT-P1 around a month ago. I was looking for a short breaker on a budget. This cue was $195.00 from Nielsen's Billiards (Joerackem) The first thing I had to overcome was the brand name of Players. I have always considered them to be pretty cheaply made. The...

    CET/Pro1 - My Journey.

Been playing pool for 35 years - had a job traveling on the road making good money which afforded me the luxury of playing on the road against a variety of players, some unknown and some well known. I got a call once from Hal Mix who was Nick Varner's coach. I met up with Hal and discussed the...
