Mosconi Cup teams vs matching up among the players

But would you do the same bet playing 10 or 12 ahead with: Van Boening vs Immonen Hatch vs Appleton Archer vs Souquet Deuel vs Boyes Morris vs VanDeBerg Pretty certain you would book a big loser with these... at best 2 out of 5 thus proving my original point.

Mosconi Cup teams vs matching up among the players

I never said the Mosconi Cup wouldn't be close... I believe it will. I made refernce to the USA having BETTER PLAYERS if they matched up. Here is my point: When they did match up, we know that Shane handled Mika and Dennis beat Darren on TAR. That leaves Johnny, Corey and Rodney against...

Mosconi Cup teams vs matching up among the players

You and I both know that the best players don't always win a tournament involving races... I have refrained from posting matchups to prove my point but may do so soon.

Mosconi Cup teams vs matching up among the players

I understand that the Mosconi Cup is a team event but it is clear that the USA has better players. Case in point, if the 5 current European players had to each pick 1 different USA player to play a 10 ahead set, would Europe even be able to win 1 or 2 sets out of 5?

    Drugs to shoot better

That is the better question indeed... well said. My educated guess would be 200 to 1 depending on the definition of "sucessful".

    Responce to Jerry Forsyth Article

Relax... I was just responding to SpiderWebs post. You know I am right because you went off on the baseball tangent and failed to respond to my point of gambling on matches at pro pool tournaments. Again, I repeat, people trying to make $500 betting on matches at tournaments are cotsing us...

    Responce to Jerry Forsyth Article

PLEASE STOP... you cannot go to a baseball game and go over in the corner of the stadium and actually find someone openly making lines and taking bets on the game but you sure can at almost all of the pro pool tournaments. MLB would never allow it... sure money is bet on baseball but the...

    Coltrain's Still got it.

Gerry - Was that at Pete Sinklers? He used to add a couple thousand and all the juniors would come in for a tournament during the summer. I was there in the early 90's... Chan had already passed away...here is how we finished the year I was there: 1. Tony Watson 2. Jerry Slivka 3. Mike...

    Why pool struggles

When players that need a few dollars are able to go over into the corner of the tournament room and bet on matches, they might make their much needed 500 dollars but in turn cost the pool world 50,000 dollar sponsors. You reap what you sow, period. You can't plant an apple seed and expect an...

Is pool dying in the US???

Pool will never get any real sponsorship dollars like golf because many of the pool players are over in the corner checking the "bookie lines" before their tournament matches start. In trying to make $500 by winning (or dumping) their match, they cost the pool world any chance of a big company...

    Unknown "monster" players

You cannot talk about players in Ohio and not mention Steve MacAnich from Toledo... very few people came to Toledo looking to try him and "Million Dollar Marty" at the Glass City Billiards. Proof: Gabe Owen got the wild 5+7 and the breaks at Shooters in Olathe in the mid 90's before Gabe was a...
