Very new to the area here. Any chance that I can link up and play a little with some of the local AZ'ers in the area? Thanks!!!

    Is TAP tapped out?

LOL Scott. Just because I have convinced many that carbon dating me is pointless, doesn't mean that I'm technologially unadvanced. LOL I do have a FB account but rarely ever use it. LOL

As fate would have had it. I just left N. GA due to work transfer to D.C. I want to wish NAPA the best of luck in the GA area.

    Is TAP tapped out?

I've been trying relentlessly to try and join a TAP league in the D.C. Area. I have called the main office on several occasions and have left voice mails. No one returns my calls. It seems as though TAP doesn't really want to grow their numbers (solely speculation). I would really appreciate...

    NAPA or UPA

Hoping to see.... NAPA to take off in a lot of places. I have been really paying some close attention to areas that currently have these leagues available. Unfortunately, I don't have the capital it would require to purchase a territory but in a few days, I will be moving to Oxon Hill,MD due...

    Pool Tournament Ideas

You can also do a 50/50 raffle. Sell tickets (example: $1 each or 6 for $5). You can set what the ticket prices will be. Winner of the raffle gets 1/2 of the pot and you can use the remaining 1/2 to allocate to the winner of the tournament's first place or whatever cause you deem worthy of it...

Jump Cue: What do you use

Black for Tadpole. Green for Frog. To my knowledge, there is no discernible difference other than in color.

Jump Cue: What do you use

I currently have the Frog. I was fortunate b/c the shop I purchased it in got it right around Christmas so I was able to get the cue and Robin Dodson's DVD for $99. I actually like the cue but I don't spend a whole lot of time with it even though I put it together just in case I do need it.

Crofton md, anybody want to play for fun this weekend?

Moving to Oxon Hill I'll be relocating to Oxon Hill during the weekend of the 19th of May due to work transfer. I'll most likely be driving up on the 18th. After that, I wouldn't mind getting together every now and then to take you up on that offer. I'm not sure how far you are from Oxon Hill...

Georgia pool player roll call room and thread....

Eastside Atlanta Things are going well just east of Atlanta in Loganville, Monroe, Conyers, Winder, and Athens. Sadly, no future 6 Pocket is available due to me being transferred to Arlington, VA at end of this Feb. No one to take over the league here or hold 6 Pocket tourneys.

2 hour lesson & problem fixed

Chris is a fantastic instructor. Pretty nice guy to boot. The couple of times that I have had his instruction, it didn't take him long to diagnose the problems and get me back on track. Chris really does take the time to care about what is effecting one's game. Glad you had a chance...

David Flory Fundraiser – Need a little help!

A success Chris did a fantastic job with obtaining sponsors, entries, and the big after party for this event. In my opinion, the tournament held at two locatiosn simultaneously whos another of Chris' many talents. I would also like to say THANK YOU to all of the sponsors, Sandy Springs...

    APA rules question

To the best of my knowledge, it is a legal hit. This technique was shown to several of us one immediately following matches by our own LO. There is nothing in the book that states that the cue itself has to be used in a forward motion. By just simply raising the tip of the cue to contact...

The old games we use to play??

I haven't seen Alabama 8 Ball w/Last Pocket Option played in quite a while. Cribbage (my personal favorite) I believe has already been mentioned but it is still noteworthy.

FREE CUE to someone deserving.. paying it forward

To the OP, It's good to see that you are trying to pay something forward in an act of kindness and charity for your fellow human being. Though there are a great many people and/or organizations that would gladly accept your generous offer, I must currently advocate that there is a benefit...

    Starting weekly tournaments

I certainly commend you for making an honest attempt to draw new players. My suggestions are probably too lengthy to actually post here as not only a participant in handicapped events as well as just going with some friends to watch them play in handicapped events. You probably already know...
