    Is Ronnie right?

Alright. My bad. I took another look at the video without any distractions this time around and the volume up a little more. I made an error. I'm only human. Burn me at the stake if you wish. I need new glasses. Are ya happy now?

    Is Ronnie right?

IMHO? Yes. Ronnie was right. If you watch close enough you see the red wobble just slightly and then re-settle back in its place. The ref needs new glasses. It appears that the balls are indeed touching.

    Last Night's Chuckle

I realize that this is not really important to most everyone here but I have to put it out there anyway as I know that some do have a sense of humor and may appreciate it.:D I was playing a 6 Pocket match with 2 other local league members last night. I shot 3rd in the group. The first player...

For those of you who know Trigger.

Very touching, emotional, and a great tribute to your best friend. It must be very special to have a loving mother. Still being a newbie to forum, I'm still going to extend my deepest condolences to you.

Aramith Tournament Balls: big price diff between ebay and retail

That would be the set indeed. To the OP, They are a great set of balls but I must caution you a little on the action of the cue ball. It does not take very much to maneuver it around and it very easy to over shoot position but it is still a joy to hit it and know that it took so little effort.

    The Fortunate Ones

Maniac, No apology for the alleged "hijack". Of course now that the FBI is starting to really narrow in on D.B. Cooper, I'll have them ring your doorbell next.....j/k. You were definitely fortunate to know kind of great but I think that goes beyond the great. He sounded like an honorable and...

    Does gambling improve your game?

About the only improvement I get out of gambling is that my already thin wallet tends to get even thinner.

    The Fortunate Ones

Many of the members here have been very fortunate to have been exposed to some of the greats from days gone by. Some are getting exposed to todays' greats. Some will be exposed to tomorrow's up and coming stars. In some small way I must admit that I am somewhat envious that you've all had that...

    Seperated Ribs. Anyone had them...........

After years and years of no longer being on the back of a bull, I reflect back on the era that I was always riding and recall all the near misses but I also recall all the hits too. Dislocations, major bruises, major sprains, cracks, etc. I've had the separated ribs and cracked ribs. I know...

    Looking for parts

Sorry about that. I've known him for quite a while and he can usually provide info on others that may have what you're looking for if he actually doesn't have it himself. I guess this was one of those rare exceptions. Keep looking as there has to be someone out there that has them or can...

    Thinner shaft users! About 11.75.

I'm at 11.5 MM and use a Talisman hard tip on my main player at the moment. I have very few problems with this tip such as miscues. If I miscue, it's generally because I did something wrong and wasn't paying attention to what I was doing during set up/address. It requires very little...

At what point does practice become counterproductive?

When you wake up and find that your head is stuck in the pocket and you can't get it out. :D On a serious note from my own personal experiences, it is when I start feeling unfocused, fatigued, and irritated that I find that practice is counter productive. I'll add that constant interruptions...

What is your favorite city to play pool in?

When I was still living back home there was a small gem of a place in downtown Chickasha, OK. I don't remember the name of it now and I'm not sure if it still there. It was pretty old school in that when you when you cleared the table or the game ended, you simply called out "Rack" and someone...

    Tough Night on the Table

We all come apart at the seams now and then. Sometimes I know that I've picked up some little flaw(s) that cause that tough kind of night. Sometimes, you think you can see the right cut angle and come to find out that the eyes are playing tricks on you a little. I usually chalk up one bad night...

Will the lack of nicotine hurt or help my game?

I've dipped for 32 years. I started due to the usual peer pressures as well as chores from back home where there woouldn't have been time to light up a cigarette so the next best thing was dipping where I could put one in and leave it there for hours with just occasionally adding a small pinch...

    6 Pocket/New Session Begins

Starting Somewhere Any league that has ever been around has always needed a place to start. With 6 Pocket, it started in San Antonio, then I believe they have some small leagues in the Denver area. Here in GA, they wanted to me to do a test market in the small area that I live in and so far...

    6 Pocket/New Session Begins

There is a game called Six Pocket as well. I'm the GA League Coordinator for 6 Pocket. Both of these have their respective similarities as well. The 6 Pocket game is very near Equal Offense in that you rack all 15 balls randomly. Break hard as you would in 8 ball/9 ball, etc. Then begin running...
