American Pool NEEDS a Real Governing Body

I'm with you, let's do this. We need enough money to get the ball rolling in the right direction. Maybe we can fundraise to get the startup money. Jonny Archer, John Smidt own poolhalls, maybe they can run a few fundraiser events with a portion of the entry fees going towards thier org. Of...

ABP or Barry Behrman: Which Side of the Fence Are You On?

I don't know the the situation entirely to give an opinion or vote for a side. All I know is everyone in pool is hurting. Pros have been starving for decades, and they are the hardest working people. Most of them lose in the long run playing tournaments. The tops pros do ok, but how is that...

    What The ABP Should Do......

They need to pursue a sponsor that is willing to give a percentage of sales to support their organization. In return, they will do whatever it takes to promote the product. Hunt down the CEO of that sponser, show them your portfolio.....oh man we got a long way to go.

    What The ABP Should Do......

I just like the thought of having an official drink and the whole coincidence of it and this thread being created. So I went back to try and follow whats been happening...I have been missing out of course but, it seems all this can be very uniting and productive. As much as some people may...

    What The ABP Should Do......

It's funny how there is a thread about official drinks and snacks in the midst of all this talk and demand for change. I see it all being very realistic.....I'm slightly crazy though:smile-us-down:

    What The ABP Should Do......

Yeah, that's exactly what they need. Good public relationship, and a person that will drive the rest to build towards that goal.

    What The ABP Should Do......

oscar Domingez Oscar seems like a very likable, personable character also. I think he's in college so it won't be hard for him to take a few leadership skills courses.

American Pool NEEDS a Real Governing Body

We need support. I believe we have to go about this in a proper way or it'll just be circles and everyone ends up dissapointed.

    What The ABP Should Do......

Nice job Jcin. I think the most important thing is chosing a speaker that meets your criterias. There is plenty of talent in the pool department...its the professionalism aspect that will leave lasting impressions in the minds of prospective sponsers. And believe me there will be sponsors...

    Growing our Sport...Too Many Ego's

Gotta start somewhere. There is just too many pool players world wide that spends too much money not to be able to get a sponser willing to help promote it as a sport. If people only knew half of what it takes to become a pool player they would be amazed.

The Official Drink of a Billiard Player

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....slurp We should ask the official drink to give 10% of profits from vending at our events, back to us in any form that will promote our sport. Also 5% to help build schools for the impoverished. There are only oh what millions of pool players all around the world, who...
