Delrin does not glue very well and generaly you use the wieght bolt to hold the delrin butt cap/ring on. If the bolt is plastic then maybe he just didnt want to add any more wieght to the rear for balance reasons. I would contact him anyways to be safe.

I always call fouls on myself unless there is a third party watching the hit then I trust their decision. If I know I fouled and did not call it I would feel guilty and probably lose the whole match not just the game.

I agree it looks like Goncalo Alves to me. I also am not an not a wood expert but I have a Goncalo Alves cue that looks very similar to that.

Re-chucked on the dowel 5 more times and consistantly got 0.002 at 1.5 away from chuck.

Let me start with this is a deluxe cuesmith lathe, I took apart the chucks to clean and repair one of them that had a bur. I checked my runout using metal dowel provided with lathe, at about 1.5" away from chuck I am getting 0.002 runout more when I move further from chuck less when I get...
