    History behind your Avatar

If I remember correctly, that dragon and his comic strip was named Wormy. He was wanted for buying a mail-order War-Gaming kit that included live orcs -- unfortunately the package delivery was delayed, and the orcs ended up starving in transit. One of my favorite characters from that strip was...

    Eurowest cues.... little insight needed

You can edit image files in Windows Paint. Just go into File -> Image Properties, then reduce the width and height to something smaller like 1024x768. You can also use image hosting sites like imgur.com to link much larger files, but you have to keep tabs on them to make sure they do not...

    Value of my Meucci?

Is there an image of the Meucci logo? Apparently the older ones with the cue-in-text image commands more than the models with the big M's.

    Updated Collection

That is an impressive collection. TY for sharing! I am also a big fan of older classic cue designs, especially Szamboti's.

    Do leather wraps need conditioning.

When I first got my Gilbert cue in 2005, I did apply leather lotion (same stuff I treated my leather jackets with) to the wrap to make sure I treated it right. However, a few months later a corner of the embossed leather wrap started to peel, and the finish developed bubbles near the joint. So...

Value of New Predator Scorpion LE cues

If I didn't know any better, I would have thought these cues were made by Scorpion, not Predator. After looking through Predator's site, this one is the model I would go for: https://www.predatorcues.com/usa/predator-limited-edition-true-splice-16-curly-2-generation-pool-cue.html?options=cart

Wow, this is the fastest sales post I've seen yet... item sold in about 1 minute.

Value of New Predator Scorpion LE cues

Plenty of cues run well past $5k, but in all honesty, I'd be scared to play with one since any accident or drunken stumble can ruin the investment.

Value of New Predator Scorpion LE cues

Agreed, some cue makers have issues making their estimated delivery times. I waited about 9 months to get the 2005 Gilbert cue in my sig, but at the price he charged me and the product delivered, I can easily say that I'll never get another deal like that again. If you want to make sure you...

Value of New Predator Scorpion LE cues

I'm pretty sure that for $5k you can get a much higher quality made-to-order custom design from several well known cue makers. As for the pictured Predators, their older Ikon4 line up looks WAYYY better for far less $$.

Anyone still use a SS joint?

Both cues use pro-tapers, so not sure what else to consider.

Anyone still use a SS joint?

My first quality cue was a 1980's Meucci Original with an flat faced implex join and a soft, silky smooth hit. Many years later I purchased a 2005 Schon with a piloted SS joint. The hit was a much stiffer ping which grew on me. So when I commissioned my custom Gilbert cue, I asked him to go...

Here's my 40 year old Joss

Wow, I just realized my mid-80's Meucci Original is around 40 yrs old as well. Still needs to be refinished too since the varnish is quite yellow now.
