    9' Diamond nearest Greenfield MA?

thanks, Hang -- i know about the shelf. i played on some Diamonds a few years back before my table was tightened, and i didn't have the same reaction as many players. i found the pockets scarey to look at, but found that they accepted properly struck shots, and in my opinion, Better than a tight...

    9' Diamond nearest Greenfield MA?

"If you are looking for just high quality tables try Ivory Billiards in Holyoke. For tournaments try Ivory on Friday nights (barbox tourney though) or the Bluefelt tour run by Eric out of Shooters in Southington (once a month). There used to be a tourney on the 9footers out of Ivory on...

    Elkpro vs triangle vs milkdud

i've only this year started pressing my own Elkmasters, and i can tell already they're far and away the best thing i've ever played with. all the feel of a soft/medium moori with none of the issues of a soft and more grab than a hard. so for me as a noobie, how do you tell out of a bag of 'em...

    favorite game

14.1 is the only game that really interests me. felt like that as a kid, even when i gambled 9-ball in the 60's, and still feel that way now. i love to watch big 9-ball events like the Mosconi Cup, but how people can even Stand to practice 9-ball i do not understand. cannot imagine anything...

    Diamond Ball Polisher issue...

well, here's another data point with a homebrew cleaner that also gets great results over several years by using the correct amount of Aramith cleaner. and to emphasize what someone said earlier: Dan White's research on Meguire's Detailer vs. Aramith is not to be ignored if you care about...

    The GOAT's cue??

"Just my 0.2 worth, but I`m thinking Efren could use a broomstick with an elk master tip & kick the crap outta alot of players." and in fact Efren said that he uses Elkmaster in an interview with Sam Diepp. now broomstick without a tip, then we're Starting to work towards a spot... ... if he...

    Solid Leather Tips

agree with Franky4 -- i just put an Elkmaster in a spare vise for a coupla weeks, plays waaaaaay better than all the layered tips i've tried. grabs the cue ball like it's never gonna let go, feels great even on long draw shots jacked up on the rail. i've heard that this guy Cesar Morales uses...

Where to play near Springfield MA

Ivory in Holyoke and Pool Table Magic near Bradley Airport are both good choices. i like the equipment at Ivory slightly better, but the food at PTM is far better and it's less crowded.

    Simonis X-1 Cleaner

no. i have one, and it is very ineffective, not mention silly amount of money for what it is.

Which is the better tip G2 soft or Kamui SS.

pressed Elkmaster or milkdud. i recently converted after years of layered tips, will never go back. on a higher plane, this guy Efren Reyes has done pretty well with them.

I heard a theory about how to make masters chalk more like kamui

"Shaws cue tip at the US Open this year was always White. I'm sure everyone knows what that is?.... is it? the 30 dollar cube ?" no, he's using Taom chalk, from Finland. there's at least one other top American using it, and several of the top snooker pro's have also switched to it because it...

Best Pool Ball Rack for 9 Ball and Straight Pool

"The non elite is still $80. Unless anyone can find it cheaper" $70, as pointed out above, and you'll never have to (or want to) buy another as long as you live. amortize that against a rack that you'll hate and will get sloppier over time. do it once, do it right.

    Collectible Chalk

    Opinions: Ball Return or NO

ball return all the way. unless you're playing 1-p, i just do not get how people can stand drop pockets, much less prefer them; what a pitb. it's not so bad for short rack rotation games, but for anything else drop pockets are a drag.
