Atlas sells a grey colored "pearlescent" rod. This would make a nice looking ring. Obviously, it wouldn't be as shiny as metal, but as far as alternatives go, this would be my choice. Josh

I guess that's where I'm at right now,Tom. This person is a friend, and we have gone to many tournaments together. I need to talk to him and figure out wtf he was thinking. Like Dave and others, this is just a hobby for me, and I do find it difficult to not get attached to the cues I make...

Thanks for all the responses. I guess I have a lot to think about. At this point, I haven't seen or spoken to this person, so I guess I will have to see how that goes. For all I know, he doesn't even want another one of my cues. I like the idea of an autopsy, hopefully I can make that happen...
