Declaration of "not an instructor" status -- do we have it all backwards?

If you're looking for confirmation from the greater population of AZ, let me be the first. You, sir, are annoying as hell, and I will be adding you to my very short ignore list. ...and I am no one's "affiliate". -s

Declaration of "not an instructor" status -- do we have it all backwards?

not as such. If you pursue finding out who I am, I will not hide, though. Sharing information does not require any such thing, especially on a free online forum. The information or experience shared should have value on its own. -s

    Open V Bridge vs Closed

Bobby, you're not alone. I've been playing for over 20 years, and will probably never use a closed bridge (except when shooting off-handed, for some reason). I have tried a few times, but my bridge hand doesn't like it. The truth is, I don't feel a need to change. Why? I haven't noticed...

Declaration of "not an instructor" status -- do we have it all backwards?

After reading through seven pages of this (and also previous similar topics), I have resolved to add my advice wherever I feel fit. I agree with JoeW's version of many teachers and students communicating together to learn. If you don't like what you read, don't use it. I don't feel a need to...

    US Open draw worry

actually, i don't see their disadvantage, as long as no one got a second round bye. with each of the brackets being 64 players, +/-4 or so byes doesn't sound very significant, statistically speaking. jmo. -s

cue too heavy w/out weight bolt..?

Just a thought...: Spend some time learning to play with a heavier cue. Who knows, you might end up appreciating it for what it is. If not, maybe just sell it? Mutilation is not the answer, IMO. -s

    League scheduling software?

For those who are in the same boat: look into RRS (round robin scheduler) from Galactix. $69 and appears to work well, when set up properly. You set up the league(s), location(s) (they call em fields), and teams. Also set up play times and location availability. Then tell it to set up a...

There are softwares out there, TSSS being one. I am evaluating it, but also trying to write my own solution. Thanks for input. If anyone else has something, I'd love to stop writing this stupid program! Mark, thanks for your option. We are already paying sanction to VNEA, doubling up might...
