    3D Printed stimpmeter

Yeah, I don't think you could break one out before your next tournament and get anything but if you are thinking about a different cloth, you could compare some that way. I think it could be useful from a table mechanic perspective but not from ap player perspective. Here's mine It was...

    Lag Foul at the EC

I think it's a silly rule, but since the rule specified that the ref will place the balls, and does not mention the players placing balls, I can agree with the ref's interpretation. I think the wisdom of the rule is dubious, but the wording doesn't support the players moving the balls. Assuming...

Cue stick stroke with a spin.

I noticed Earl doing that but I think it was part of his follow through, after the ball is gone. If we're talking about the same thing, he was rolling his wrist and the cue would rotate slightly clockwise, viewed from behind. If the top of the cue is at 12 o'clock at the start of the stroke...

I thought the Germans used them, but I've never seen an 11 or 13 on anything Japanese.

Did Mark Wilson finally kill "aiming systems" ?

Yeah, I know the fresh cloth helps a lot, and my table is pretty gritty, but it still looked like an exceptionally smooth, relaxed draw. Strictly based on my own experience, and not having had Mark Wilson teach me his technique, I say it's hogwash. I'm kidding a bit, but I've been working on my...

    My Fargorate progression

I know what you mean about the Fargo caps, I'm at the level where people who can whip me are still under the cap, someday I might get above the cap and be stuck duking it out in a field of 650+ shortstops. Can I get a smooth path to the final once in my life?

Did Mark Wilson finally kill "aiming systems" ?

I was watching a bit of the Scottish open and Oscar Dominguez hit a couple of nice long draws and it didn't look like he hit them hard. Like what I would shoot four diamonds and draw back one, he drew back five diamonds or so. I guess I know what I will be practicing tomorrow.

Here's a story about a guy who played guitar on a ship and had to save the passengers after the captain and others bolted. I guess that sort of thing has happened a few times. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-60841291

What is this stuff and how do i get rid of it?

So, I have this awful stuff growing in my backyard, it's woody, spiky, and grows fast. Close to one inch diameter stem and close to four feet tall after one season. I'm chopping it down, and the fluffy stuff is going all over which means I'll probably have more next year. I'm not sure if I trust...

Did Mark Wilson finally kill "aiming systems" ?

I think my stance and bridge were at least tolerable to start with, the changes I've made are primarily refinements, but learning the quiet eye and eye pattern transformed my game. The game didn't become truly addictive for me until I reached the level where I can execute position and see...

Did Mark Wilson finally kill "aiming systems" ?

I'm thinking of the the people who seem to be good the second they start playing. The pros have all put in an unfathomable amount of work to hone their skills. At that level, that obsessive work ethic is probably even more rare than whatever physical talents they possess.

I don't want to condone stabbing someone over food, but working a 12 hour shift on an empty stomach? I can understand.

Did Mark Wilson finally kill "aiming systems" ?

I'd include eye pattern in this, too. I think a lot of the people we think are highly coordinated or talented, especially those who seem skilled right away, tend to naturally have good alignment and eye pattern. They sort of stumble upon, or naturally gravitate to an effective method maybe more...

If you don't mind a bit of unsolicited advice, I've watched many of your videos (thank you!) and you shoot much better without the backwards cap. Thanks for another excellent video.

Pool? If you can only play one game?

I love playing 14.1 in practice, because it's continuous, I always wind up playing for a while. If I land good on the break ball, I have to start another rack and not let it go to waste. If I mess up I have to redeem myself. If I'm playing one pocket alone, I forget which hole I'm shooting at...

Did Mark Wilson finally kill "aiming systems" ?

I was thinking about this, I think your 400 players are playing on tougher equipment than I'm used to. Or I'm vastly overrating 400s, because I'd expect most games to be 3-5 innings. If someone is getting past 5 innings most of the time, they probably don't need to spend a lot of time working on...
