I prefer guitar neck shavings glued together into the perfect plywood answer to practice.. seriously if you spend enough you can eliminate practice.. try and see.....

start shooting the hard shots first.. leave the easy ones for later.. shoot at the balls that don't have a pocket.. before shooting the balls inches from the pocket.. find ways to open up YOUR problems while creating new problems for the other guy... don't even try to run out until you can...

the pro's have pretty much evolved beyond the jump shot as it is..at this point if you left a jump shot then you didn't get safe. I think a more elegant solution would be "One cue per player per match" use whatever you want...

Some of us prefer slippery ... I know I do.. I can play just as well with either.. but the linen is more comfortable to me

If you think gear matters.. then you are no threat to any quality player past,present,or future...
