10 best players in the world

It's unfortunate (to me as a viewer) that KPC is focusing mainly on Heyball these days, I'd love to see him added to the Filler/Gorst rivalry

The CARBON FIBER Shaft With the LEAST Cue Ball DEFLECTION

I see this cited a lot, yet interestingly wood shafts (among pros) are far more popular among people in hot/humid places like Taiwan and the Philippines while carbon dominates Europe.

Questions about the the history of ball in hand

It appears that pro pool phased in ball in hand in by the end of the 1980s. But what about amateur leagues like APA and BCA? My google searching did not bring up any exact answers. And even when amateur leagues adopted ball in hand, how common was it for non-league players to play with ball in...

Intentional fouls being illegal in Heyball is lame IMO

How High Or Low Do You Cue For Maximum Spin And Had Dr. Dave Ever Studied This?

Didn't Dr. Dave disprove the idea that elevation creates more draw?

Higher skill pocket billiards players - 9 ball or snooker players?

Modern pro pool pockets aren't exactly buckets anyway. Seems like a common complaint among old time pool fans is that the 4 inch pockets of modern elite pool allow for significantly less pocket cheating.

Better for me: AVID vs. G-Core or Vikore

I have to disagree about Vikings and even McDermotts being ugly (besides the butt cap). Viking has a lot of great designs

    Traditional wood shafts making comeback?

I'm sure baseball fans prefer to hear wood bat crack over aluminum bat ping

Best All-Around Production Cue for ~$1000 (Value, Playability, Durability, Support)?

I just find the Mezz designs to be super boring. If not for that I would totally consider buying one.

Those side pockets sure aren't generous And I honestly love the shootout

what pros play with maple regular deflection shafts ?

Savannah Easton is not even 18 and she uses a wood shaft. I don't even find there to be much of a correlation between age and carbon use, but rather location (Asia = more wood). And on the amateur side of things, the vast majority of the cues I see at league are wood or hybrids, though carbon...

The CARBON FIBER Shaft With the LEAST Cue Ball DEFLECTION

Cool! I hope to see a video like this some day for the various wood shafts marketed as LD, would be interesting.

Best All-Around Production Cue for ~$1000 (Value, Playability, Durability, Support)?

Joss cues (particularly the 10, HM, and Hoppe liens) are way more interesting looking that Mezz cues IMO

what pros play with maple regular deflection shafts ?

Most amateurs can't even reliably pot with no English, why should they use even more sidespin if they don't know how to adjust for deflection?

Was pool better 50 years ago?

Ko Ping Chung is playing outstanding pool with a wood shaft, 13mm tip, and no glove. But I assume the shaft he uses is LD relative to old school wood shafts.

    Todays Sneaky Pete cues

Nobody is gonna fall for a "Sneaky Pete" in 2026 anyway, it's better that your cue actually looks nice rather than resemble a $30 house cue

    New Meucci Hi-Pro 1.

The good news is that the lacquered wrap means you'll probably never have to have any work done on it. And congrats on the cue! It's gorgeous. I have an entry level Meucci with the standard pro shaft and I love it, one day if I have the money I might get one of the higher end designs.
