    Nope, a double cream PAF...... sans the cover I had Les Pauls from 1952-1960 and you could see the evolution of the nech shape year to year. before 1960 they used analine dye for the red and alot of "Bursts" faded to "un-bursts" = no red all!All amber unless you looked under the pick guard...

    Early 1957 lester You can see the "lines", the maple underneath was so figured there were ripples on the top. Looking in the rear pickup cavity, you could see it was a center seam, bookmatched top.

    1959 Lester Nick that was a "No bird" 1963 Firebird 1 also, only the first approx 70 had no bird on the pickguard, or for you blokes a sratchguard. Showing my age, when I think of a Firebird, I think of Johnny Winter
