A challenge to forum members: Shoot through the curtain

The aiming sub saved this forum. That and getting the "Locktards" off the main.

    Nice looking cue bud!

Cu that hits like a Schuler for $225

I've never hit with one but back in the day everyone was raving about Schuler shafts. I remember they had a different joint or collar on them but that's it.

    Pool Stuff For Christmas

You win best Xmas gift for a room and a table to put in it. I may be trading my 9' pro-am for a blue label bar box next year. Wish I had room for both.

Advantages or Disadvantages does it make a difference Stepping into the shot vs. stepping back from the shot?

IIRC, Bert taught players to step back in one of his videos. I was a student of his and have always stepped forward. I suppose it's preference to a large degree.

Dominguez vs Guama race to 50 for 80+ per side

I find it difficult to believe that Oscar was able to work on Guama's table without anyone knowing about it. Did making the rails play correctly cause Guama to dog the several nearly straight in balls? Guama got out to that early lead partly due to winning games after lucky misses. Oscar did not...

    Six Pointed Star

As mentioned, this is Kinister's drill and his tape "Building the 6 pointed star" takes you through the different areas of the drill before you try the whole thing. The 9 pointed star is tougher yet. When I was a die-hard player, I dedicated 30 minutes per day to the 6 pointed star. It will...

Dominguez vs Guama race to 50 for 80+ per side

I was just stating what Tony said on the stream.

    How To Play This Shot

I'll play the 3 railer into the 2 if I'm playing the ghost. If I'm in a match I'm thinning the 1 behind the 9 and putting the CB behind the 4/6.

Tougher tables did not help USA pros for 20 years

Yep, this was true in both rooms in which I came up through the ranks. The money table was for top players only. It had tighter pockets and the only time casual players were allowed on it is when all other tables were full and no pool players were in the room.

Tougher tables did not help USA pros for 20 years

Their talent pool is larger, deeper, and better trained. The pocket sizes have nothing to do with it.

Porper Mushroom Tip Burnisher vs Trimmer?

Yeah that looks much nicer than the one I have that you line up with the ferrule and push the sharp edge through the tip and into your your finger lol.

Porper Mushroom Tip Burnisher vs Trimmer?

I prefer a piece of leather, vinyl, even wood to that thing. I've used it and had it grab and twist off the tip on two occasions. I was probably putting too much pressure on it but the fact that it can happen made me stop using it. The Porper trimmer that is just a sharp edge at the end of a...

    I'll never complain again.

Puts things in perspective. Cheers to him. We have a local player with type 2 who recently had to lose his 2nd lower leg. He is now playing every week standing on two of those spring-type prosthetics. Still plays real well too. I don't recall ever hearing him complain about his physical...

    JMM billet pool racks

Thank you. I would like to offer more colors but coatings are expensive. I get a discount when I bring more than ten to coat at a time. Black being the most popular color is the only justifiable choice for that much inventory as of now. I have a buddy who is trying his hand at powder coating and...

    New product release

Seriously I guess his patent ran out. I'm going to put small horns on the corners of my Breakrak and introduce it as "The Cram!".

Dominguez vs Guama race to 50 for 80+ per side

That's what Dom and Tony said. It's not really that tight but at certain angles it plays real tough. I'd have to play on it to understand -if even then lol. They also spoke of how much action Guama has been getting recently. I was surprised to see him dog a couple easy money balls considering.

Dominguez vs Guama race to 50 for 80+ per side

It's free on YT. I watched the first 20 racks or so then a couple near the end. The level of play was not that great. I think I saw 2 B&Rs and there were many chances the players did not convert. A lot of swings, too. It's Guama's home table from what I understand. Someone on the stream said he...

So many tips to choose from.

I think there was a show that took us through the process of making Elkmaster tips not too many years ago. Regarding the single layer tip inconsistencies, I would guess they cut many tips from many hides and they all get mixed together in some other operation. That may cause tips from different...
