Why would anyone use an electromechanical rack? That's ludicrous. One of the beautiful parts of this game we love is the randomness of it which includes variations in the rack. It seems to me you are trying to over engineer something that doesn't need to be.

I have incorporated a pause in my backswing because I have a tendency to rush the transition and jab on the CB instead of just swinging through it smoothly. I have been working on it for a while now and it has helped my consistency greatly. When I am playing well, the pause is imperceptible...

I have never asked him about it (I play at his home room and know him well). My gut tells me he wouldn't even if he could. He is Scottish first and foremost and has a tremendous amount of pride representing Scotland and Europe.
