Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

With aiming, I think "in my experience" means "it seems so to me". Not that it's necessarily inaccurate, just that it's not objective. pj chgo

Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

I think even the major fractions (except half ball) need some “feel”, and dividing the major fractions into smaller ones adds another layer of estimation, kinda like compounding interest. pj chgo

I’m guessing they won’t be going pro. pj chgo

With fractional aiming, adjustments must be made on nearly every shot. Fractions only clearly define a few cut angles (full, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4…). pj chgo

I think when people say "aim at" the contact point they mean "aim to hit" it. pj chgo

Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

A well known way to connect the contact points (assuming you can "see" the OB contact point) is to aim CB center to the point twice the distance from the OB's center or twice the distance from the OB's outside edge to the contact point. This is called "double distance" (when doubling from...

    Depends how cute it is.

Except fractional aiming (like all systems) only gets you close - you have to estimate the actual aim line from there. Very rarely does fractional aiming put you directly on the correct aim line with no adjustment. pj chgo

    Physics of a double kiss

Is the double kiss “on” with any line to a corner, or only the one shown? pj chgo

Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

To me it appears as a 3d image of a circumference (the "equator") on a clear CB - an ellipse from any angle except from straight overhead. pj chgo

    - Place stick on shot line with tip at CB. - Hold stick with grip hand at hip and foot on shot line. - Step into stance without moving stick. pj chgo

The "equal pieces" are the equal halves of the CB/OB overlap at contact? pj chgo

And if you can visualize the pocket<->OB line extended an inch past the OB, it points right at the ghost ball center. pj chgo
