Why does pool attract so many broken, crazy, Degenerate, mental type people.

No, I must have misunderstood you. You said the more you give the more you get back. I'm not sure why you would not want to give if you really believe that. I must then infer you're only stating it to boost your self esteem and popularity within the group, which helps to prove my initial assertions.

Why does pool attract so many broken, crazy, Degenerate, mental type people.

You're proving my point. You're trying to make yourself out to be a good guy in an effort to boost your ego and self esteem. We all do it. I'm not knocking you or saying you don't give. But I am saying if you do give you do it for yourself. It's not personal towards you, it's just the truth...

Why does pool attract so many broken, crazy, Degenerate, mental type people.

I think y'all got it a bit wrong. Everyone's the same. Politicians just have money and power so of course they do that. People don't admit this, but every single human being on the planet, including me typing this post right now, is trying to do one of only a couple of things... -Get...

Why does pool attract so many broken, crazy, Degenerate, mental type people.

I think that's a crock. If you superimposed the same conditions pool has onto golf the golfers would be just like the pool players are perceived. To me, same people but just different circumstances. People with money are always perceived better, but it is a superficially based perception.

    Tony Chohan vs Dennis Orcullo

Thanks in advance first of all. Drumming up this type of interest for matches like this is what we need, and you guys doing the video deserve a lot of credit. I watched the last one on a live YouTube stream on my flatscreen tv which helped me to watch more because otherwise I've got to watch...

    Is Tony Chohan really Retired??

In pool replace "retired" with "taking some time off because I can't make any money" and everything makes sense.

Billy Thorpe conceded with 7 balls left.

I have no idea of the format this place had going, but if there were paying spectators I do personally feel it's easy to call it unsportsmanlike. If they were gambling I'd agree he can do whatever he wants with the balls as he concedes as the entire premise is about winning or losing the game...

Take that, Europe! We are USA Strong!

Heavy hitters showed and maybe many decided not to play? Just guessing. I love these tournaments that barley don't fill and the first prize payout goes down like 30%. That happens a lot with smaller tournaments too it's so maddening. The winners never complain because they just won, and nobody...

Take that, Europe! We are USA Strong!

I buy what you've said and I appreciate your comments. However, when it gets mentioned that there is no money in pool, of course we're not necessarily talking about two of the best ball strikers that have ever lived as you mentioned. Yes, a select few can make a very good living playing pool...

What was Reyes trying to do here?

He actually had a six ball with side boards to shoot. I haven't seen a lot of efrens recent play but that was probably the worst shot I've ever seen him hit, especially considering his options and the hill hill situation. You're perfectly entitled to think he just made a ho-hum error of course.

Billy Thorpe conceded with 7 balls left.

People concede because they are tired of waiting, not because they're altruists.

What was Reyes trying to do here?

What was he trying to do at the end when he whiffed an entire pool ball. I honestly never thought I'd see the day; that definitely the equivalent of a golfer swinging and missing the entire golf ball as far as I'm concerned.

Billy Thorpe conceded with 7 balls left.

If I lost 2/3 of my salary for a mistake and I was a golfer, or tennis player, or any other of the thousands of world class performers who get paid what they're worth, I'd open up a beer and get ready for next week.

    2017 “Make-It-Happen” One-Pocket Invitational

I love the format and everything about this. If I was pat I may just cut the paragraph about the players costs being covered. I think it's especially awkward when he says "as they deserve", no no, they are the best players in the world, they deserve far more than that. To put the dollar amount...

Billy Thorpe conceded with 7 balls left.

What they should do is initiate a new rule where if you concede a game your entry fee has just increased by X amount. That way everyone wins, the fans and the players. But, for some reason we are just content with letting people get away with acting like apes.

Rodney Morris vs Dennis Orcollo Live Now

We as a group should start getting serious about this. I mean it. One pocket as the main game. As you say maybe banks and perhaps some straight pool. Screw these games that are literally decided 90% by the breaking stats essentially. The match in this thread Dennis didn't make a ball on the...

Billy Thorpe conceded with 7 balls left.

It's a dumb move on a lot of fronts. It's not hard to go sit down and be miserable in a chair. It's not like your misery is going to compound there. For some reason we sort of give these layouts to these guys mentally too, but funny stuff can happen and does all the time. I don't even think it...

Take that, Europe! We are USA Strong!

There's not much of a mystery here. If there were money in pool, USA would be either one of the top producers of pool talent, or the top producer. I think this statement is bolstered just by looking at the makeup of other pro sports that are played internationally, or the olympics. Figuring the...

Rodney Morris vs Dennis Orcollo Live Now

Good ole pool. Matches decided by who happens to make a ball on the break. No wonder one pocket is getting bigger. I really believe we should work towards getting rid of all these "break dependent" games (8 ball, nine and ten ball) in pool and not even play them anymore. the results are just so...

Why Dennis will Take Home the Cash!

Let's simplify this because it really is quite simple. One pocket is a game of "I need to put the cb right here". Seriously 99 percent of the time it is pretty darn obvious where that area or spot is. And, who can do that better than the other guy in this case?
