    Beware of Scammer

Is it the poster who represented himself as a pawn shop ? I bid on the Gina and the Bender. Got up next morning and Ebay removed any trace of the postings - no trace at all. I saved my emails in my miscellaneous folder in case someone needs proof of scam seller.

    Fred Guraino Passes

Jerry, Did not personally know Fred, but was well aware of his support and promotion of the pool world over the years. He and Mary had a great room in Vegas. We are losing the old timers a little too fast.

A Powerful Mental Attitude in Pool - Accepting Defeat

CJ, I know exactly what you are saying. At the New Mexico State 9-Ball tournament in 1988 (?), I was in a match with Marco Marquez. I was in stroke, but I was sort of choking because of my opponent's reputation. I was down like 5-2. I just mentally told myself, win or lose, I was going to just...

    Favorite commentator

I have always thought that my friend Billy I. was the best and most knowledgeable, whether it be 1-pkt or rotation games. Some commentators are so bad, I am glad there is a mute button.

Well, I guess they can not handle the volume. I haven't been able to log on. And, yes, I have a pass and watched first 2 nights. Will have to watch later, if possible. Will not be very much fun - knowing the outcome:embarrassed2:

    mickey stone RIP

RIP, Micky. Knew Mickey for many years. Real nice guy, but did have a temper if you did something underhanded. He loved to play and compete on the pool table. He also liked to buy, trade and collect old fishing lures. The Dallas/FtWorth pool world lost a very good man. On a side note...

Death of the House Man (long post sorry)

Rack Em, Barney !! Great, great thread. As a fellow pool player who started at the age of 15 in 1963, I very well remember the housemen in the pool rooms. Jenny, what a great place and time for pool on the east coast. :)

Lacy's cue, in Chalmette, Louisiana looks spectacular.

Lacy's Can not say I have been in a nicer pool room. Great equipment and food. A real pool supporter and great owner. You can't beat Frank. Lacy's was the site of Onepocket.org's first member only tournament. A resounding success. Hope we return there soon.
