westcoast: how many would have attended or watched if it was only a women pro tour stop? plus the men's event was a world championship. there's probably your answer to the pay gap.

i don't remember what poster on here that said that yapp was overrated. it was one of those guys that holds accustats as the premier tournament promoter. either way, yapp has now won multiple MR events, PBS events, the international 9b a bunch of times, and is very close to winning a world...

yea i figured that as well. but i think FSR, if he hits a gear, stands a better chance against yapp. right now yapp is THE man to beat, he's incredible

he's on / off with the yippiness. in the periods where he keeps his head still on the stroke he's as deadly as anyone

the eye test says he is (still) better than tyler, billy, and possibly skyler after the break. SVB no, that was never true imo. i think scott frost is hyped on justin because of his recent 1p matches, and i'm similarly biased. the pro tournament scene is different though. he's testing the...

    Is Pia Filler #1???

oh, no doubt. she's probably also the most improved senior player over the last few years.

i guess WPC is still up in the air (no pun intended)

Lukas Verner wins WNT Ranking Event

he used to be quite a chore to watch when events didn't have shot clock.. he can be real slow.

it happened last year too. either way, i don't have a problem with them racking with a triangle, but i would rather see them use a proper triangle like delta-13. slug racks don't belong in a world championship. predator tried to re-invent the wheel instead of slapping their cat on a trusted triangle

that's a harsh statement, especially considering the scalps he took in the 8-ball. i would say his comeback is still in the works. give him a few more events. the alternatives are still tyler and billy

seems a likely reason. the pinoys playing are players with a higher WPA participation last year than chua

Lukas Verner wins WNT Ranking Event

were he to reach the final in the world 8-ball i assume that would be enough WPA points for an invite to the WPC? but as i said before, things need to simmer down a lot over there for that event to even be feasible, not just for players who don't like air travel but for everyone.. overall my...

wojciech looked quite devastated, still sitting in the chair after the match with head in his hands. pool is a cruel game

dunno. i know albin did it last year against (i think) bader alawadi, won the lag, ran out. race to 8 is very short if the racks are good. with magic rack i reckon they would need to add +4 to the distance, at least. for pro 8-ball you need to throw some kind of wrench in, or it will be to...
