Pro Pocket Size TOO Small for 9 Ball

the taiwanese have been playing on tight tables for decades. europeans, aside from UK players, didn't really play on tight tables before. the eurotour had dynamic tables with 4.55" pockets, shallow shelf until year before last. and if i were to guess the GC is still the most common tables in...

Pro Pocket Size TOO Small for 9 Ball

he was in the finals in the previous US open.. same table specs. i don't get this premature "retiring" of svb, or underrating of his skills on the pro scene. he can still beat anyone in WNT / predator series on any day.

2026 JOY Heyball Grand Masters Finals

i have a hard time rooting for gareth potts. don't know why. he's not slow, not controversial. just boring i guess. incredibly good 8b player, that goes without saying

    pool has changed

idk, cloth and ball manufacturers have been sponsors since i started watching pool, they obviously want to have their product presented properly. i don't see this as a problem. the opposite - cloth and balls worn to just the right maha level of acceptance - seems more difficult to achieve

    pool has changed

that may be. but it's simply not true that today's players have no stroke and players 30 years ago in US pro tournaments played on gravel. there are money matches every day on youtube with cloth slower than that (not to mention humidity): carlo, raga, deluna etc often match up on streams...

Pro Pocket Size TOO Small for 9 Ball

billy ran 12 or something on the predator bank challenge. think those were their SAM tables, not the new predator tables. still stingy though. i think banks and 14.1 is best with fairly soft pockets, even at pro level. but there's not a blanket solution for pro pool. i play on stock GC5's...

2026 JOY Heyball Grand Masters Finals

might be the other way around. zheng xiaohuai was fargo #1 for a year or so before covid and his switch to heyball. but yea, those 5 would be a threat if they dedicated years to it, obviously. they can't just go there. same with snooker players, some of the best snooker players have tried that...

    I finally played Ultimate Pool

like at the derby 9-ball? on a serious note, shane is still a top dog on big tables, and in WNT. there are just more dogs around than before. he'll be gunning for the world 10-ball champs this year, to complete the trophy cabinet

2026 JOY Heyball Grand Masters Finals

nice writeup! this part in particular was interesting: pretty amazing. i wonder if it like in vietnam got a bump in popularity during covid? the heyball rankings however, are not available outside china / chinese social media (according to AI)

    WNT, WPA and 2026

yep, but they seemed to play harder than 4" diamonds. both events were on at the same time, and jumping between streams that was my conclusion it's not just making the 1 ball, it's what happens next. but i agree overall. the break was broken. in a way this rule rectified it to where the lay...
