    Finish Damage Question

So I picked up a nice old Schmelke 2x2 box case in great condition. It was a Dufferin cue for sale, but the case was probably worth more than the cue, so I grabbed it and ended up with the cue too. It is a Dufferin cue, and the finish is cracking all over the butt. I can grab pics tomorrow if...

Looking for Ebony into BEM Cue

As the title says. Jet black genuine ebony into BEM. No veneers. Simple cue. Custom or production. Wrap or no wrap. Full splice or short splice. EDIT: Thank you for responses, I am avoiding ivory because of the legal issues. Prefer wrap to be black linen or black leather. Prefer plain...

48-49 length? Do you mean 58-59? If so, which is it? Seller informed me immediately it is 58 inches. Thank you!

They are all beautiful but I really favor #1 with the ebony. Really majestic looking wood combination. 👍 👍 👍

    JOSS CATALOGS

This is really spectacular. When Joss lost their archive with the server snafu it really was a disaster. I had neglected to save all that. I had intended to, but I guess took it for granted it would be there. I wish I had a substantial Joss collection. I have a few. I almost bought another...

Which is BEST cuecase? Whitten? Laara? Phi eastwood? Rusty Melton? Jill Hawk? Or?

Back around 1992 I left an expensive (now very collectible) Benchmade butterfly knife in the console of a rental car. I did not get that back. I called the same afternoon after I dropped the car off and they said nobody found it. I bought another one and still have it. Carried it for many years.

Looks like a GTF, by Barton. Nice cases. I still don't have one in my collection.

    Advice on selling ivory-inlayed cue.

Also concerning is as we create better and better imitations of the ivory and the skins, the more likely you could get your stuff confiscated and destroyed even if it's not banned. They can easily drill into or cut up your stuff in the effort to prove whether or not it's genuine or imitation...

Which is BEST cuecase? Whitten? Laara? Phi eastwood? Rusty Melton? Jill Hawk? Or?

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have watched a number of the videos from ICCS this year. I saw really nothing about the cases the collectors and makers used to transport their cues. I really am curious. I almost made it there this year. I would have loved to see something about how...

Cool! I didn't know you had any left! I just went and looked. You have a nice selection available including Engles, GTF, It's George, and box cases from O'Neil and Palmer. 👍 👍 👍 Folks, he has some nice cases for sale.

    How Long Between Ball Polishing?

This has been the source of numerous discussions between me and the crazy redhead. The matter is perpetually unsettled. If it is ever settled, I will post the solution here.

For protection? DanBuilt cases are pretty darn good. The most protection you can get is an ATA road case. You can have one made to your specs by an ATA road case maker. Yes I have one. No, never took it to a pool hall. LOL! EDIT: This is my ATA cue case.

@GoldCrown Actually, this is an HC-1000 not an HC-145. But, jet black ebony butt sleeve as I said. Vinyl veneers and aluminum shaft inserts. Not my pics, but my cue. I'll get pics when I haul it out.

Geeze. Control yourself. You like cheap hookers too? LOL! I think the darn oneil case might be worth more than the cues. LOL! But that Gandy is a dandy. I have another one or two of that model. One in jet black ebony. I'll see if I have pic in my files. No idea where the cues is. I'm...

You might like this one. @SunDogAZ might like it too. SM-5 From the Mizerak Pro series No Dove logo, don't know why. I don't think it was refinished or anything. Got it in a beautiful Huebler case for a steal. Nice birdseye. Seems to be real ebony too. Points are CNC at the tip, but the...

    Advice on selling ivory-inlayed cue.

Yup. In fact if it is made flat out illegal or extremely restricted and controlled the prices will skyrocket. Look at what happened to machineguns.

    Advice on selling ivory-inlayed cue.

I have never thought that. It's just that the matter can get complicated. The recent ICCS had exactly zero ivory in any of the cues by agreement of the participants. (edit: I have been corrected on this matter.)

Help with info about McDermott Super Mac pool cue case, with extension for longer cues?

I have no idea who made them. It's possible McDermott did actually, but I don't know. They are very well made cases. But as you can see with yours, often well used as well. They made tube cases in both steel and plastic. I always thought the steel cases were spectacular just because they...
