    Brunswick Brookstone 9'

Looking at maybe putting a table at home. Saw a 9' Brunswick "Brookstone" for $2500 OBO. Is this a good quality table? How would it compare with a GC? Also for sale is a Gandy 8' for $1K. Thoughts and opinions appreciated. Thanks, Bruce

    Connelly San Carlos (Arizona mfg.)

I may have an opportunity to purchase an older Connelly San Carlos table (made in AZ not TX, made sometime between 2006 and 2010). Oak wood finish. 4.5 x '9 with 3 piece slate (not sure of thickness, could be 1.25). Price would be 2K which includes 12 cues, cue rack, balls, and light. I have a...

    Fair Price for Used McDermott

I have a 4 yr old G-229 that I bought new for $255. Want to offer it to our local billiard club members. Cue is in very good shape. Shaft has some mild blue discoloration from chalk and some blue chalk stain on ferrule. Is $125 to $150 a fair price? Thanks - Bruce

    Inconsistent Play

Apologies up front for long post. Am very inconsistent in my recent play. Started playing again about 4.5 years ago after having not really played for over 50 years. Age 77.5. Our clubhouse has been closed since early this year (2 9’ tables), but a neighbor has an 8.5 x 4.25 table at home...

    Squirt versus Throw

Is there a set distance that squirt (deflection) and throw cancel each other out or would it be "speed" dependent? Thanks, Bruce

    Cue Acceleration - Thoughts?

As a professional golfer for many years (played Sr PGA Tour for 6 years back in the 90's), I am aware that the best putting strokes are not in "acceleration mode at impact. Studies have shown that best putting strokes reach peak speed prior to impact and are "coasting" at desired impact speed...

    Up Coming Hip Surgery

Hi All, Just got back into shooting pool in the last couple of months. A couple of neighbors have tables and I have been playing about twice a week for 2 hours each time. Starting to get some good shooting from time to time - had a decent 13 ball run at straight pool this afternoon but lost...
