WTB - I have $300 for a cue... what do you have?

While 300 hundred is not a lot of cash, I want to get my wife a cue she would really like. I am still waiting on some pics from the myriad of pms I received. I agree, I have some great options, but my post has been up for 36 hours; I do not think I am really milking it by not yet choosing...

Looking for a cue, and it cannot exceed $300 shipped. Wishlist for specs: Forward balanced Wood joint Wrapless 13 mm shaft (or very close) Weight 18.5 (or very close) Custom or production is fine, and I would prefer a sniper tip. Please post pics. This is for my wife, so it does not have...

    Best display of shotmaking???

I have always thought Corey Deuel's running 15 balls in 10 shots was pretty cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBGRhT6DSGo

    1990's Pechauer

First of all, I recommend keeping it, not because I know the value, but simply because the resale value on Pechauers is really low. I think Pechauers are great cues, as do most of the people I know, but they do horribly on the secondary market. So hang on to it, and enjoy.

Another guess the maker thread. THIS ONE'S TOUGH

I am sorry, I have to respectfully disagree. That alarm clock is clearly a knock-off asian import. Notice how the buttons do not line up perfectly? That is a tell tale sign that it is not an original Hamilton (as we like to call them in the alarm clock biz). As far as the cue goes...

    314 Shaft w/broken ferrule ...

Predator stands behind their products. My first 314-2 was ever so slightly misaligned. It was not off by enough to effect play, but was driving me crazy. I sent it in to them, and in no time had the shaft back with a new ferrule and a nice note apologizing for the inconvenience. Good stuff...

99 Critical Shots In Pool tops for 30 years

Here is a summary of Pleasures of Small Motions: Pleasures of Small Motions Mastering the Mental Game of Pocket Billiards by Bob Fancher, Ph.D. Everyone who plays pool knows that it is "mostly mental," but the conventional wisdom about the mental game is about as accurate as the idea that...
