I am flying to Ho Chi Minh for a few days at the end of the month. I'm a fan of 3-cushion billiards but I have't played it properly for years since the only pool hall that had a carom table in my country closed down. Thus, for one night in HCMC, I would love to find a place where I can have a...
*&^ Crap! That is (^&%*&^% <insert expletive> amazing... and familiar! Tell me truly, did Paul draw even the tiniest bit of inspiration from this design I drew years back? See http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=7194 . Glad to see someone turning my fantasy cue into something...
Can't be any one else. He's the only Asian businessman who fits the discription. His empire is based in Macau where he used to monopolize the gambling industry.
I think it is wiser for the IPT to move to this part of the world. An event like the IPT guarantees a full house and live coverage in...
My vote would go to the Scorpion jumper.
If you are worried about phenolic tips not holding chalk well, you are mistakened. Most of them hold enough chalk to perform just about any jump.
IMO the most important aspects of a jump cue is the balance, weight and hardness/stiffness. I use a...
This divide wouldn't be healthy for the sport at all. I think if it goes on we will end with with 2 'World' Champions of the same discipline each year who are not allowed to play each other in tournaments. Duh?
Come on did the whole island of Taiwan vanish into thin air? Or the likes of Chao Fong Pang, Yang Ching Shun and Wu Chia Ching a figment of my imagination?
Can some one give me a reason on why they aren't represented on the IPT?
I don't mean to spoil the party but I have seen this pattern of growth rings on a shaft of my friend's cue. What happened was that the grains were so curved that they begin straight on the tip end but at more than 40 degrees at the joint end, thus the illusion of very dense growth.
Both the BK and the Sledge are fine break cues. I would prefer the BK for the added controllability. I use a Mezz Powerbreak and will probably never change it. It hits like a mack truck.
I read about your comment on the 50 yard line power. I have the same problem, but I don't think I'm not...
Whoa. I don't think theres anything plain about your deisgn. What program did you use to create it? It is very cleanly done, whereas my Acad deisgns are more or less pixellated when i render with the materials.
Here's my latest and my most tedious project up to date. I spent a whole week designing, redesigning and modelling the cue.
It's called Le Trois Mousquetaires.
Enjoy.
Sure I can zoom in, which parts would you like?
Anyway, what do you mean by cue x's design being stolen? I got most of the design cues for it from Richard Black's Athena, so I can't call it a original creation.
Hi guys. Thanks for your kind comments over the last 2 weeks. I was not in town during that period and might have failed to reply some of your PMs.
I am currently working on a new project to design a Black Boar-ish cue that will be named Le Trois Mousquetairs.
Quite untrue, I only learnt AutoCAD from engineering school last year and just did pretty basic stuff. I learnt most of what I know by experiment. I think it should take less than a couple of days to get the hang of it.
I'm using Acad 2002.
