    New Pool Room

  2. R

The game room in our clubhouse is getting updated. New rails and covering all three tables with Championship 3030. Can't wait for it to be finished.

The current cloth is Simonis 860 and is about 5 years old. Table gets a lot of play. We've got a few 'bangers' here so there is quite a number of divots in the cloth. Tables won't be recovered until Tuesday when they bring the refinished rails back.

True, I know we will have to 'learn' the new installations. Question is, how long will it take??

    Golf Course/W Pool Tables

I live in a retirement community in Jackson, NJ. We have a wonderful, professionally designed, golf course and in our clubhouse game room are 3 Brunswick tables. We are in the process of recovering them with Champion 3030.

What is Pete Margo doing these days?

Pete is alive and well and living in Manchester, NJ. A playing buddy of mine sees him regularly. Anyone remember when Margo played Sigel played in Staten Island? Margo beat Sigel two games for big bucks

It's a standard Helmstetter 3 cushion cue. Been making them for decades. Here's a link with some info but do your research and you will discover what it is and maybe get an age https://www.billiardwarehouse.com/cues/helmsetter/3_Cushion_series.htm

Another work trip, Wayne NJ, where to go?

There used to be a small sports bar on route 46 in Parsippany. I used to live in Fairfield but moved in 2015. Should still be there. They have 8 Gold Crowns, bar and food. Gets a bit noisy at night but the tables are kept up. They also have one 3 cushion table. It's called Q-Time and across...

    High Humidity Play

As I said earlier, I cleaned and waxed the shaft. I played yesterday and did not have an issue with the humidity. I also bought a cue candy talc bag but didn't need to use it yesterday.

    High Humidity Play

I cleaned my shafts with a dampened Magic Eraser. Rubbed it down with a cloth to completely dry. I then applied carnuba wax, let it dry, and wiped it clean. I went to the clubhouse today, very humid. I had no problem with sticking. So I think I just need to keep the shafts clean and waxed...

    High Humidity Play

When I play and the humidity is high, I have issues with stroke and have to depend on an open bridge. What is everyone using to slick the shaft without talc? Thanks, Roscoe
