Where do you want to be in 5 years?

I'd like to become an A player. If I can keep practicing and working on things out of my comfort zone I think it's possible. I just have to negotiate with the wife more than I like to :-/ Growing family makes it difficult to keep everyone happy.

    Pred Gen 3

I bought the 314-3 and have been playing with it for about a month now. I switched over from using the z2 which I had been using for around 3 years. The deflection is a bit higher than the z2 but manageable and still low. The hit is nice, good feedback and medium stiffness. I feel my game has...

In search of a 9' Daimond Pool Table

Unfortunately I believe those tables were available for a short period of time. Most likely went back to the factory in the states. At the time I didn't need one. Now I getting a house with room for a 9' go figures.

    Z3 Shaft

Curious if anyone had tried the z3 out yet. I have a z2 and I'm happy with it but curious how the hit and deflection differs between the 2. I can't find any reviews on it yet.

What are the characteristics that distinguish a “banger” from a “real” pool player?

I would classify a banger a very weak player. Generally those that show up to a pool hall, hit balls around and get excited when they string 2 balls in a row together. Those who lack the knowledge, skills and generally the experience on a pool table. They usually have poor fundamentals as well.

    Which cues for breaking??

OB Break cue hits like a champ! Leather Samsara hits hard but still provides control. Little pricey but worth it.

Douchebag moves you have seen people pull at league

One time I was trying to get down on my shot and my opponent intentionally bumped me and said various things to try and shark me. I told him to back off and shut up but he chose not to. So I purposely got down on my shot and pulled back hard during my practice stroke stabbing him in the stomach...

Will someone w/break speed app do a test???

Correction: There is the initial acceleration from the impact of the cue stick, but the cue ball does not continue to accelerate after impact. Ya your right. That makes sense. It will lose speed with friction over distance. It must be that I have better form with a closed rail bridge opposed...

Will someone w/break speed app do a test???

I broke 5 times from the headstring with a closed bridge and my results were: 20.16, 20.52, 19.44, 19.80 and 19.34. I broke 5 times a half a diamond back with a closed rail bridge and my results were: 20.79, 20.57, 21.77, 21.68 and 20.81. Results will vary I'm sure from player to player but for...

Will someone w/break speed app do a test???

The greater the distance from the cue ball to the rack the greater potential for a faster break speed. Look at it this way. Can you reach a higher top speed in your car in 10 feet or 100 feet? Pros may not always place the cue ball as far away because they have such great control and precision...
